Being a dad is the hardest thing I have ever loved doing.
And I wouldn’t change that for the world

OPERATION NOT A DAD BOD
It is in full swing and the end goal is something I have wanted to do for a long time.
All will be revealed in the coming weeks and months but for the time being it’s to finish this diet strong and go into the gaining phase.
Weekly physique and training updates in coming and looking forward to share what is to come.
Dads.. stop looking for the perfect time because;
Between the sleepless night, cleaning bottles and navigating the nursery drop off and pick up all while working, it really doesn’t exist.
So how do you get back into the gym?
Simple…
Start small and stay consistent.
2-3x a week is better than none at all.
You’re not 18 anymore with no responsibilities, fitting the gym around YOUR life and not the other way round is how you stay consistent.
Like I say to all my clients, it’s about building habits.
Before you know it you’re a dad that works out 2-3x a week rather than one that sits on the sofa with their gut out watching netflix.
But like I said, that perfect time isn’t going to come, so stop looking for it.
Instead get up, get moving, and start to become the dad you want to be.

Fatherhood taught me what patience actually is.
The second I held my daughter, everything shifted. Life moves fast, blink and she’s bigger, blink again and the weeks are gone.
The lesson? Be present.
Not just in the room, off your phone, in the moment.
The tired smiles, the 3AM cuddles, the first giggles.
You don’t get those back.
Same mindset I coach with:
Show up.
Be consistent.
Give yourself grace.
Be present
The results, in fitness and fatherhood, get built in the moments nobody sees.
To every dad grinding to be better, I see you.
Keep showing up.
For your family.
For yourself.
Because here’s the truth…
If your weight isn’t trending down over time you’re not in a deficit.
That doesn’t mean you’re not trying, most people are.
It usually just means:
– Tracking isn’t as accurate as you think
– Weekends are undoing the week
– Portion sizes are a bit… generous
– Or you’re guessing instead of measuring
Fat loss isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being consistent and accurate enough to actually see what’s going on.
“Eating healthy” doesn’t guarantee a deficit.
“Eyeballing it” isn’t a strategy.
Dial it in.
Stay consistent.
Adjust when needed.

PHYSIQUE UPDATE
Haven’t done one of these in a while so let’s share where we are at.
We are coming to the end of this diet phase and it’s been very successful.
The goal is to reverse out of this and go into a gaining phase.
Body weight currently around the 79-80kg mark having come down from 87kg.
Looking forward to share more over the coming weeks and months.
You say would do anything to protect you children
But
You won’t lose 40lbs so:
You are around longer for children
Can play more with your children
Healthier for your children
You might not like to hear the above
But something you need to hear the truth to make change
