We were delighted to welcome 'Just Ride' to Roots Hall last night on behalf of the Shrimpers Trust & Southend United. They enjoyed a full evening of hospitality and despite the score a good time was had by all.

Just Ride Southend is an inclusive cycling project, which has been running 12 years. Our mission is simple: to ensure that absolutely anybody - regardless of age, ability, faith, or background - can engage with cycling and enjoy its physical and mental well-being benefits.
To make this possible, they provide a fantastic range of adapted equipment, including hand cranks, side-by-side assisted bikes, and even wheelchair platform and transfer bikes. This allows everyone to experience the sense of movement and freedom that many of us take for granted, even if someone else is doing the pedalling for them round Garon athletics track SS2 4FA and over 18,000 riders did that in 2025. We are open to the public every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday 10-12. We still have some availability for our 'Match of the Dames' this coming Saturday 5th September.
Meeting up around 10.30am for refreshments. We will then walk up to the ground for match kick off at 12.30pm.
Any ladies who have always wondered what it would be like to attend a game for one of the best supported teams in the National League, please get in touch for what will be a great day out and meeting other like minded ladies supporting football.

Southend United Museum Declared Open

Southend United, the Shrimpers Trust and the Southend United Ex-Players Association are proud to announce the opening of the Southend United Museum.

Situated in the BTMK Box Office, adjacent to the Club Shop, the museum explores 120 years of Southend United’s history and heritage, on the site of the Club’s home for the last 70 years, Roots Hall.

This permanent exhibition contains items spanning the Club’s entire existence, with a collection representing each decade, and with memorabilia as varied as trophies, kits, and match programmes.
