Woodmill Outdoor Centre

Another sunny day at Woodmill and our volunteers have just opened our new courtyard and seating area. ☀️

We were delighted to host a wonderful event celebrating the summer solstice last Sunday evening. The group had a lovely campfire and swim in our lake.

We're hosting two Level 2 Food Hygiene Courses in our Bushcraft Area on 11th and 12th September. Are you a forest school leader, scout or guide leader? Book your place now at woodmill.org.uk/courses

We had our busiest evening yet last night, with Explorer Scouts & Guides both on the water, Beaver Scouts on the Low Ropes and Bushcraft, as well as our usual Tuesday activities for Squirrels and Cubs.

We also had alternative provision on site and a group from a local college camping for their DofE. The start of a busy summer of adventure!

Our volunteers have been working hard to install DarkSky Approved upgrades to our car park lights this weekend. These lights dim up and down when there’s movement to reduce light pollution to a minimum.

As the goslings grow, some parents have brought their fluffballs onto land to enjoy this sunny morning
