Help busy women drop fat without restrictions

Summer is coming to an end… but that doesn’t mean your goals need to go with it. ☀️

I feel like this time of year can be a bit of a weird one.

Summer is winding down, holidays are done (or nearly done), and it’s very easy to fall into the “I’ll just enjoy the rest of summer and get back on it in September” mindset.

And then September turns into October… and before you know it, you’re saying “I’ll start properly in January.” 😂

Please don’t do that.

You don’t need to suddenly become ridiculously strict because summer is ending.

But you also don’t need to take your foot completely off the gas.

Keep training.
Keep eating in a way that supports your goals.
Go out and enjoy yourself when you want to.
Have the meals, the drinks, the holidays, the bloody ice creams.

And then get back to your normal routine afterwards.

That is the bit that makes the difference.

Because your goals don’t disappear just because bikini season does.

And honestly, wouldn’t it be nice to get to next summer without feeling like you need to start from scratch again?

Future you will thank you for not pressing pause. 🤍

So if you’ve been telling yourself you’ll “get back on it” soon…

Consider this your sign. 👀

I had a really lovely chat with a client about perspective this morning, and it got me thinking…

When I took my check-in photos yesterday morning, I wasn’t happy.

I didn’t feel like I was seeing much progress and, if I’m honest, I was questioning what the hell I was even doing this for. It had been my husband’s birthday over the weekend and, because I’m in prep, we didn’t get to enjoy a meal out together like we normally would.

In that moment, it felt like I was sacrificing a lot and not necessarily seeing the reward.

And this is where perspective matters.

My client and I have both lost around 25–30kg in total.

So I picked up a 20kg plate in one hand and a 10kg plate in the other and just stood there holding them.

30kg.

That’s the amount of weight I had once been carrying around with me every single day.

It’s bloody crazy when you actually see it in front of you.

Sometimes we get so focused on where we’re going that we forget to look at where we’ve already been.

This isn’t a one-week fix.

You can’t undo years of habits, behaviours and a relationship with food overnight. It takes time to build new habits, learn what works for you and create a lifestyle you can actually maintain.

And no, I’m not saying you’ll never want the doughnut again.

You will.

You’ll have days where you don’t want to train. Days where you eat more than planned. Days where you look in the mirror and convince yourself nothing has changed.

But the difference is that your bigger picture starts to matter more than one bad day.

You start to recognise how far you’ve come.

You start making choices based on the person you’re becoming, rather than punishing yourself for not being perfect.

So if you’re feeling frustrated with your progress right now, take a step back.

Look at the bigger picture.

Look at what you have achieved.

Be kind to yourself…

but also, when you need it, kick a little bit of ass. 😂

If you’re stuck in that cycle of starting again every Monday and want to learn how to make changes that actually last, send me a message with “START” and let’s have a chat. 💗

Things being self-employed for a year has taught me… that actually apply to being a client 👀

A year ago, I left my office job and took the leap into being a full-time PT.

And whilst I’ve learnt A LOT about running a business, I’ve realised that so many of those lessons apply to making progress with your own goals too.

Your results will always come down to what YOU are willing to do consistently.

A year self-employed has taught me that there’s no magic switch. You just keep showing up, keep learning, keep adjusting and keep going.

And eventually, you look back and realise just how far you’ve come. 🥹🫶

Week Number 2 (kind of 3) of prep 🫡

This past week has not been ideal to say the least, stress levels have been high. I did not have breaking down on the motorway on my bingo card for this year (I probably should have, but 🤷‍♀️)

Weight on the scales today are technically higher than last week, but as shark week hit yesterday, this isn’t surprising. Overall we have made another drop, so all things considered, it could have been much worse.

I’ve been trying really hard to have a positive mindset over the past week, and I think that’s really key when life doesn’t go to plan. Your outlook on a situation can truly be game changing. I think this has allowed my body composition to still make changes, even when the scale is telling another story!

Few more stressors to deal with over the next week, but we are sticking to the plan, preparing in advance and as per the cute pebble I found on a walk… Just Keep Swimming 🐠

Looks like the hot weather is here to stay for at least another week ☀️

And I’m absolutely not complaining 😂

But I know for a lot of you, summer can also mean routines going out the window a little bit.

More meals out, BBQs, drinks, holidays, ice creams… and then suddenly you’re thinking “f**k it, I’ll get back on track Monday.” 😂

Please don’t fall into that trap.

You don’t need to choose between enjoying your summer and making progress.

Have the ice cream. Go for the meal out. Have a few drinks. Enjoy yourself.

Then get up the next day and carry on as normal.

Get your steps in. Prioritise your protein. Get your workouts done when you can. Drink your water. Eat some actual fruit and veg 😂

It doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

One meal isn’t going to undo your progress, just like one “perfect” day isn’t going to transform your body.

It’s what you do most of the time that matters.

So enjoy the sunshine, enjoy your life and stop feeling like you have to “start again” every Monday. 🤍☀️

You can want to feel confident in your body AND still actually enjoy living in it.

One week’s difference 😮‍💨🙂‍↕️

The scales have gone from 53.8kg ➡️ 52.85kg, but the biggest changes have definitely been in my physique.

One of the biggest changes? Dropping my protein intake.

If you’d told me a few weeks ago that eating less protein could actually help me look better, I’d probably have laughed. 😅 But it’s made a huge difference to my inflammation, and I’m already feeling and seeing the benefits.

Changing coaches naturally means changing approaches too, and this has been a reminder that every coach sees things differently. Sometimes you have to put your trust in their process, even when it goes against what you expected.

After just one week, I’m already seeing positive changes, and it’s reinforced why I chose to put my trust in my new coach. Sometimes the best progress comes from being open to doing things differently.

It’s only been a week, so we’re just getting started, but I’m so excited to see what the next few weeks bring.

Sometimes doing less of what you think you need is exactly what your body has been asking for. ✨

FULL BODY 💪

Back at the old stomping ground. Minus abductor - they need some work 😅

Really loving this new programming from Marty. Couple of things to tweak over the next week, but overall we are full steam ahead 🫡

We can already see that I’m looking leaner, so things are heading in the right direction!
