Saturday we have our Junior Hundred day and awards 🏏🏆 It promises to be a fantastic day for all our juniors, featuring:

🍔 BBQ with the BBQ Kings and Queens
🎨 Face painting
🍦 Ice cream van
🏰 Bouncy castle
🏆 And, of course, our Junior Awards presented throughout the day!

Today the club, along with family and friends from his time in education, the round table and beyond said goodbye to one of the true gentlemen, David Payne.

We have struggled for some time to find the right words to celebrate him and all that he meant to the SACC community – but today those who spoke were able to fully capture who he was and what he meant to so many.

Dave was a huge part of the local community following his move to Southampton from his native Ipswich to forge a career in teaching. At our club he was a player, committee man, chairman of selectors and so much more – his commitment to assisting the club behind the scenes and his joyful art for the one liner will be greatly missed.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the service today – it was a lovely farewell – and for those in attendance it was fantastic to hear so much about Dave in his younger days.

Week 18 Results.

After weeks and weeks of heat, sun and zero rain it all sadly changed for week 18 and the final week of the season.

One by one the games got cancelled.

5s secured promotion so well done to beamer and his squad. What a great season you have all had.

As we said a few weeks ago, the 1s secured the Premier league status, congrats to Rob Franklin and his team as well. A massive achievement.

Thank you all for supporting, playing, umpiring and scoring across the season.

We are now going to host a quiz, some games and we have live music at 6pm tonight from Lynsey. Come on down and celebrate the season.

All eyes are on or 5s who with a win can gain promotion to HCL 5, however there is some inclement weather around this Saturday. Let’s hope it moves away quickly.

2s are at home facing local team Fareham, 4s play at The Green against Froxfield.
