We know that there's no one size fits all workout for every skill and confidence level, so we specifically design our programmes to be flexible and adaptable, and we do our best to anticipate the kinds of accommodations our existing client community may need or want. We start by planning out our big, strength building exercises. We run an alternating A/B schedule over a two week span, so we have 6 main session plans to come up with. If someone were to train two days in a row, we don't want them overdoing on muscle group, so we make sure to space similar muscle groups evenly throughout the programme.

We take time to discuss the needs of any specific clients who may be working through injuries or rehab, and make sure we take into consideration the kinds of modifications that we may need to make.

Once we have our big movements sorted, we go through the auxiliary training programme. We plan something that will work supplementary muscle groups without pushing too hard to cause injury. We try not to repeat the same exercises too frequently, or the same workout types (AMRAP, EMOM, PYRAMID etc) so that each session is challenging and interesting for our clients.

Lastly, we look at the programme as a whole. Sometimes a client might come in two days in a row, and rather than doing the same session twice, we'll have them follow a different plan to other people in the class. We make sure that adjacent workouts are compatible to - that we have enough equipment, space, and coaching capacity - to run two classes concurrently to each other.

Once we've done all of that, we run a trial sessions and ask our client community for *unfiltered* feedback on the workouts - and make adjustments as needed.

So much love and effort goes in to building the programme, and we're really proud of what we do 🥰

We appreciate this sounds like a controversial post, but we promise it's not.

The reason older drivers are disproportionately more likely to be involved in a collision AND that those collisions are disproportionately more likely to be caused by a failure to look properly, is because older drivers are more likely to have a limited range of movement in their neck, shoulder and upper back.

Mobility isn't just being able to touch your toes, it's being able to confidently check your blind spot to make sure you're manoeuvring safely on the roads.

Drop a comment with the phrase 'road safety', and our automated response system will send you a direct message with the link to the data source!

Coach Jodie knows how important it is for women to strength train - and not just because she's on a powerlifting journey herself. Here's what she wants to say to you if you're a woman who hasn't yet worked up the courage to get involved with some strength and resistance training.
