Wimbledon Fever at Waterside Tennis Club:

New Junior Tennis Leaders for Waterside LTC and Noadswood School!

Waterside Tennis Club coach Wendy Burnston has teamed up with Noadswood School to deliver the LTA Tennis Leaders Award to 12 students, with the course provided free of charge.

Throughout the programme, the students developed the skills, confidence and leadership qualities needed to support tennis activities at school Sports Day, work with local primary schools and assist with coaching sessions at Waterside Tennis Club.

This partnership has created a fantastic pathway for young people to become involved in volunteering and coaching within the local community. Over the summer, the new Junior Tennis Leaders will be invited to help at the club's fun days and coaching sessions, giving them valuable hands-on experience while completing the remaining modules of the award.

Congratulations to all 12 students on achieving their Tennis Leaders Award. We look forward to seeing them play an active role in supporting tennis at Waterside Tennis Club and Noadswood School in the months ahead.

A big thank you to all our members for supporting the players, helping with umpiring, line judging and providing an excellent spread of food it was nice to see so many of you under the sunshade together. I hope you are all looking forward to participating in next year's club championship!
