It’s been another busy week for Hamwics as we head into September, so let’s dive right in! 👇

Monday 👟

A happy group of Hamwics headed out for a Bank Holiday Monday social run, enjoying the extra day and great company on the roads and trails around Southampton. ❤️

Wednesday 💪

Training returned this week, with a session led by Coach Steve on the Common. Great effort from everyone who came along and put in the work! 🔥👏

Saturday – Parkrun Adventures 🏃🌍

There were Hamwics spread far and wide this weekend!

Jamie and Rosie went international at Tsurumi Ryokuchi Parkrun 🇯🇵
Matt G headed to Southsea Parkrun 🌊
Nicki took on Salisbury Parkrun 🏰
Coach Si, Karen, Lou, Laura, Josh, Rach and Kat headed to Wi******er Parkrun, helping promote World Su***de Prevention Day 💛
A strong team of Hamwics stayed local at Southampton Parkrun ❤️

Meanwhile, Jo and Mike completed their first Ultra Marathon, taking on the Tapyard 50km Ultra 🏅🔥. An incredible achievement, congratulations to both of you! 👏

Hamwic Harriers Round Up – 23/08/2026 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️❤️

It's been another busy week for the Hamwic Harriers, so let's dive right in! 👇

Monday 👟

Our wonderful run leaders led four different groups on routes around Southampton, making sure there was something for everyone. A great way to start the week! ❤️

Wednesday 🏁

Hamwics headed out to IBM Hursley for the final race of the RR10 season.

A huge shoutout goes to Dave 📸, who has supported the club with fantastic photos all season long. This was the first of two occasions this week, as he was also snapping away at Southampton Parkrun on Saturday. Thank you, Dave! 👏❤️

There was a great all-round effort from both the men's and women's teams, with the men narrowly missing out on 3rd place 🥉 overall.

With the CC6 season just around the corner, we're looking forward to carrying that momentum into the next challenge! 💪🔥

Saturday – Parkrun Tourism 🏃🌍

At Southampton Parkrun #666 😈, Matt Goss stepped up as Run Director. Well done, Matt! 👏

A team of Hamwics were also in attendance, including Joe Saunders, who achieved a fantastic PB 🎉⏱️. Great running!

Wednesday 🏁

A team of Hamwics headed to Cadland Estate for the latest instalment of the RR10 Series.

There was some fantastic running from both the men's and women's teams, with the men currently tied for 3rd place 🥉 overall. Special congratulations to Si Bryant, who sits at the top of the V50 leaderboard 👏🔥.

A huge thank you to all the supporters, including Dave, whose excellent photos once again captured the action perfectly 📸❤️.

Saturday - Parkrun Day 🏃

There were plenty of Hamwics out enjoying parkrun this weekend!

A team headed to Southampton Parkrun, where Jo Hartley celebrated her 300th Parkrun milestone 🎉🏅. What an incredible achievement!

A team of Hamwics were up bright and early to take on the Southampton Airport Runway Run ✈️🏃, helping to raise funds for the club's chosen charity 💙👏.
Not content with one race, Hugh, Jo and Lou completed an impressive double by also heading to the Tour of the Woods 🌲🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ alongside a team of Hamwics.
A huge congratulations to Laura, who finished:

🥈 2nd female overall
