Our awesome run leaders led groups of different paces around the city, helping everyone get their miles in despite the summer heat βοΈπ³.

Itβs been another busy and hot week for the Hamwics, but that hasnβt stopped some fantastic performances and adventures. Letβs dive right in! π
Monday ππ³
Our wonderful run leaders led a range of different-paced groups around Southampton, finding plenty of opportunities for photo stops along the way πΈπ.
Wednesday π
Three teams of Hamwics headed to the Mile of Miles event at Southampton Sports Centre ποΈ.
A huge well done to everyone who took part, with the Hamwic A Team finishing in 2nd place π₯π. Great effort all round! π
Friday π

Josh, Rachael, Sam and Laura took on the SOBO Five Mile Race.
π Laura was the first V50 female and the Hamwic ladies' team finished 2nd π₯. Fantastic running everyone!

A crew of Hamwics tackled the challenging Serpent Trail Race ππ².
π₯ Phoebe took on the incredible 100km distance, finishing as the 4th female and 16th overall, an amazing achievement! ππͺ
Meanwhile, Tom, Beth Cooper, David Cooper and Catherine Cooper all conquered the 50km Ultra π

Coach Steve led a group of hardworking Hamwics during Wednesdayβs training session on the Common π³. With the warmer weather βοΈ, the group made the most of the available shade while still putting in a strong session πͺ. Well done to everyone involved!

Itβs been another busy and brilliant week for the Hamwic Harriers, letβs dive in! π
Our Monday social runs were led once again by our fantastic run leaders π, with one group even managing to mix in a bit of fun chatting about a local/national sporting topic π£οΈβ½ along the way.
Wednesday saw Coach Si putting everyone through their paces on the Common π§οΈπͺ, battling through some wet conditions, great effort from all who turned out!
Saturday was a big day as we took over Southampton Parkrun π, brilliantly led by our very own Run Director, Matt Goss πthank you to everyone who volunteered and made it such a success β€οΈ.
Elsewhere, Phil took on Haverfordwest Parkrun π, while Sam & Abi enjoyed the scenic Itchen Valley πΏ. Huge congratulations to Frazer and Harry for completing the Itchen Test Way 50km ππ₯an incredible achievement!
Sunday brought the Netley 10km π
, where a strong team of Hamwics represented the club with pride. Massive well done to Soul, Nesa, Kat, Harriet, Lou, Laura G, Sandrine, Sarah, James, Rachel, Kate, Karen, Laura L, Nicky, Matt, Josh, and Paul ππβgreat running from everyone!
Nicki took on the Barry Island 10km. Great running.
