The club is holding a fun 'Strawberry Cream Tea' Mixed Doubles Tennis tournament on Saturday 11th July, arrive 1pm for a 1.30pm start. This is open to all club members. This includes adults and teenagers happy to play tennis with adults. We’re suggesting we wear ‘whites’ if possible!
If you are interested in playing, please email Malcolm Riddle on [email protected] or you can add your name to the tournament list on the club noticeboard. There is an entry fee of £2 per person, payable on the day, to fund prizes.
The cut off date for entering the competition is midday Friday 10 July.
Mixed pairings will be drawn on the day.
Scones with strawberries and cream will be served during the afternoon with donations to SLTC's chosen charity Wessex Cancer gratefully received. Anyone wishing to make a donation to the charity shortly before or after the tournament would be very welcome to do so. Martin (club treasurer) at 35 Ethelburt Ave. will be taking care of a collecting bucket from Wessex Cancer.

Pauline Eyre, a comedian and former Wimbledon line judge who is touring her show, Anyone For Tennis, across the UK throughout 2026.
She’s coming to The Point Theatre in Eastleigh on FRIDAY NIGHT 22nd May. There’s more information below.

SATURDAY 30th MAY
ANNUAL CAKE and PLANT SALE - 11.00 am to 1.00 pm
Home made cakes, biscuits, cookies, scones etc to take home for a Saturday treat.
Divided perennials, annuals, vegetable plants, rooted cuttings, and some houseplants.
All ready for planting now.
All profits from the sale will go towards the funding of our small , local, friendly club.
ANNUAL CLUB OPEN DAY - 12.00 noon to 4.00 pm
A FREE go on our grass courts - all ages and standards of play welcome. Some rackets, including juniors, available to borrow. Just come and try it out- you may even decide to join!
