We are a 1/12 RC Oval Racing Club that race alternate Sunday Mornings throughout the year. we race 1/12the scale models based on the mardave V12 series.
Due to the lack of r/c car clubs in Southampton, we decided to get a group of people together to create a regular race meeting. We race on sunday mornings at Otterbourne Village hall indoors on a carpet track with in perimetered with plastic box section. We try to alternate between circuit racing on a 8mx14m footprint and a standard oval track 6mx14m with a 2mx10m island. If you are interested in

So a few things -
1. July 12th meeting unfortunately weve had to cancel as not enough people to run it atm.
2. transponders not counting , now were had alot of issues over the years with the irace system, alot have been software glitches - some of which just settled themselves others needing us to spend alot of money on equipment . But the manufactures of the harware blame the software & the software blame the hardware so were stuck in the middle & we try to make the best of what we have. Other clubs are all suffering the same issue -weather they are aware of it or not. Mounting your transponder up high with clear sight upwards will give you the best results , some say that Lexan windscreen can deflect the infra-red beam and cause anomalies.
3. Marshalling. Please can you marshall after you race! Unless your racing again, I have a list of drivers who repeatedly do not marshal . Id hate to have to give out penalties.

Hi All 👋
Just a small update to say that normal service should resume in the Kitchen next meeting with Caroline making a comeback.
Adam is away at present, so if everyone could please ensure they check own ride heights to prevent the track tape being torn.
We do need to finish a little earlier than normal for this meeting (Max 2 car rule may be enforced, depending on numbers).
On a separate note, the carpet grip level has returned (It needed a good hoover after the National round to take away the excess tyre foam that had been left on carpet)
📣 Please continue to charge Lipo’s in safety bags only and do not overcharge or use puffed cells
📣 Please Marshall after your race or organise a replacement (Young Juniors should not be marshalling)
📣 Any soldering should be done on the pit table next to the main hall doors.
📣As always, track helpers appreciated as we are down on a few regulars for the next few months.
