Our Andover service users were putting in the graft at tonight’s football therapy session! ⚽️💪

Teamwork. Movement. Communication. Laughter. Connection.

All happening while we get active, challenge ourselves and give the brain a helping hand to release those positive feel-good chemicals.

Football is more than a game. It’s therapy. 🧠⚽️

Sometimes, after a challenging week, you just need a bit of laughter. ❤️⚽

There’s something pretty special about hearing this on the astroturf.

Our women’s football therapy sessions aren’t about being the best player. They’re about getting active, connecting with others, having a safe space to be yourself — and sometimes just having a really good laugh.

Laughter really can be good medicine.

If you’re a someone who could do with a bit more of this in your week, come and join us.

No pressure. No judgement. Just football therapy, connection and a few laughs along the way.

Tonight, Kick Start FC founder Michael Cunningham was honoured to be recognised as a winner of the Community Project Award at this year’s Salisbury Radio Local Hero Awards.

The evening was a reminder of just how much amazing work happens within our local communities. From people supporting those in need, to volunteers giving their time, to organisations creating opportunities and bringing people together — the stories we heard tonight were genuinely inspiring.

It also reinforced something we believe strongly at Kick Start FC: Community matters.

Mental health can be incredibly isolating, but when people have somewhere they feel welcomed, valued and connected, things can start to change.

And after an evening surrounded by so many inspiring people, we're more determined than ever to keep Tackling The Mind, Together. 💚⚽

We're incredibly grateful to Ludgershall Sports & Social Club for kindly allowing our charity to use their facilities for our friendly fixtures.

These games are never about the wins on the scoreboard but the wins in our minds.

We look forward to helping more people step outside their comfort zones, challenge themselves and realise that their mental health is only part of their story — it does not define who they are. 💙⚽️
