• Lola has been taught by Lisa, Amber, Jodie and Emma 🩰�• Lola gained 100% in her Acro Arts written exam 🤸‍♀️⭐�• Lola was part of one of the very first Starlets dance classes 🌟�• Lola is off to university to become a Primary Teacher 🎓📚�• Her favourite dance styles are Jazz, Acro & Lyrical 💃�• Lola is also a Swimming Teacher 🏊‍♀️✨

“I’ve always had a passion for dance and always dreamed of being a dance teacher. I am so happy to have the opportunity to bring my dream to reality here at the Starlets. I have enjoyed all 10 years at the Starlets, but I am excited to start my new chapter as a teacher. I love seeing the students grow in confidence and have fun while at dance. ⭐”

Meet Emma, our Performance Team, Contemporary & Minis Teacher! ❤️🧡💛

⭐ DID YOU KNOW?

• Emma has a little girl who is 6 months old! 👶🫶
• Has a HND in Dance and an IDTA Teaching Qualification 🎓
• Has taught at The Starlets for 8 years, starting as a helper for Jodie! ⭐
• Was taught by Lisa and Jodie at college, where she gained a Triple Distinction* in Level 3 Dance 🩰
• Used to be able to whack out a forward walkover to impress the kids, but has yet to try it since giving birth! 🤣🤸‍♀️
• Emma is also a Dental Nurse 🦷✨

Meet Jodie, our Freestyle, Tap, Acrobatics & Minis Teacher! ❤️🧡💛

⭐ DID YOU KNOW?

• Jodie has one daughter and is expecting her second child! 👶🫶
• Has a First Class BA Honours Degree in Dance 🎓
• Has a Postgraduate Certificate in Physical Theatre with Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company 🎭
• Has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, teaching Level 1, 2, 3 and HE 📚
• Is an A Level Dance Examiner / Assessor ⭐
• Previously taught at De Montfort University 🩰
• Is co-owner of NexDance Education, offering Leadership Qualifications to dancers 🌟
• Can still do her left leg splits and a bridge… maybe not right now whilst pregnant though! 😂🤰

🫶 JODIE SAYS:

“Through dance, I want to teach the children resilience, commitment, determination and professionalism, while nurturing a genuine passion and love for dance. I want them to understand that things don’t always come easily, but with hard work, dedication and the right mindset, they can achieve so much.

For me, watching the children and young people grow in confidence, push themselves outside their comfort zones and learn to believe in their own abilities is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

I’m passionate about creating an environment where the children and young people feel encouraged, supported and inspired, while also learning the importance of discipline, teamwork and commitment.

My aim is that the children leave my classes with more than just improved dance skills. I want them to take away confidence, resilience, determination and a genuine passion for dance, qualities that they can carry with them both inside and outside of my classes. ⭐”

• Amber used to compete in Freestyle Dance 💃
• Completed a Dance course at college and has a BA Honours in Dance 🎓
• Travelled around the world for 6 months 🌎✈️
• Has taught at The Starlets since it started over 10 years ago ⭐
• Has a dog who she loves like a child 🐶🥰
• Can still do the splits and a back handspring... just! 😂🤸‍♀️

“I love to teach dance and have fun with the kids. Spending so much time with the kids, we learn so much about them and they end up being a massive part of my life, not just in dance, and I cherish those relationships forever. I always want the children to learn dance, build strength and flexibility and have fun. ⭐”
