We would like to wish George all the best as he takes part in the Lausanne EJU Grand Slam tomorrow!!

This is a monumental achievement for him and also a milestone for judo inclusivity as it will be the first time an adapted judo competition is being staged alongside elite judoka within an IJF Grand Slam event.

Braydon Robus: “Judo is for everyone” Braydon Robus makes history at the Lausanne Grand Slam, where his journey in adaptive judo embodies family, independence, and a sport that opens its doors to all.

Six weeks is quite a while to be off the mat so last Thursday some of us made a visit to Yamato Judo Academy!!! Everyone there made us feel very welcome and it was a fantastic session!!!

Many thanks to Anna and all her team and we look forward to visiting again very soon! 😀🥋💪

Saturday July 18 Samurai Mini-Me (at Samurai JC) Weigh-in times

Boys (Up to 50 kg): 9.30 - 9.50 am
Boys (Over 50 kg): 11.00 - 11.30 pm
Girls (All): 12.30 - 1.00 pm

Please note that the (new) Technical Restrictions will be used for this event in all categories.

These are the times that players should arrive at the weigh-in. We aim to have players start competing within an hour of their weigh-in and finish not more than an hour after that, but we can never guarantee this: a few contests with very long golden scores soon wrecks our plans, as does no-shows.

If you are delayed on the day due to traffic, road closures and so on, please ring me on 0776 1122977.
Please make sure your players bring their BJA membership books and not just rely on the app.
Online entry is still open, but may close if we reach entry limits.
