🇮🇹 MONZA – TCR EUROPE | THE TEMPLE OF SPEED 🇮🇹
It wasn’t the greatest weekend for Audi at the Temple of Speed, but if there’s one thing we know about this family, it’s that we always bounce back stronger than ever! 💪
From the Vannin side of the garage, it was a tough one from the very first test session. We spent the entire weekend chasing a power issue on Teddy’s car, and the whole team dug deep, changing just about everything possible between sessions. We reckon the only original part left on the car now is the interior mirror! 😂
🏁 RACE 1
Luke put in an absolutely incredible drive, fighting his way from P28 to P11 and bringing the car home as the first Audi. A result he should be immensely proud of and a reminder of just what he's capable of!
For Teddy, Race 1 took a frightening turn when the bonnet pins failed, sending the bonnet flying up at over 140mph. Thankfully, he managed to bring the car back safely.
🏁 RACE 2
Unfortunately, our run of bad luck continued. Stones through radiators brought an end to any chance of the results we knew both cars were capable of achieving.
Teddy fought his way into the top 10, which, considering everything thrown at him this weekend, was an achievement in itself and a testament to just how good he is behind the wheel. Heartbreakingly, on the final lap, further stone damage brought that fight to an end.
❤️ MORE THAN JUST A RACING TEAM. A FAMILY.
One thing we want to finish on is just how special it is to be part of the Audi family.
The support we received this weekend was nothing short of incredible. From everyone plugging into the cars, comparing data and working together to try and get to the bottom of our issues, nobody gave up.
To Max, thousands of miles away in the middle of a desert, literally walking around trying to find enough signal to remotely connect to our computer and help diagnose the problem. That's dedication on another level! 😂👏
And to Detlef from Audi Customer Racing, who not only worked tirelessly alongside us to find the issue but also knew when to put an arm around the team when we were all feeling deflated. That means more than you probably realise.
It's moments like these that remind us why Audi has such a strong following and why we're so proud to be part of this family. Four rings, one family. ❤️
Monza, you've been an incredible experience. Not quite the results we came for, but certainly a weekend we won't forget. We can't wait to come back!
Racing isn't always about the highs. Sometimes it's the lows that make us appreciate the highs that little bit more.
We win together, we lose together, and we come back stronger together.
Until next time, Monza! 🇮🇹💪
