Whoever said cricket was boring?! Think our heart rates have only just returned to normal.
On a huge day in the title race, the weather gods dealt Wood Lane a bad hand. With a washout potentially not enough for the Rams, the focus was on getting the pitch fit and getting the game on.
In a reduced 30-over game, Blubberhouses posted a very respectable 158, largely thanks to some big hitting from the lower order - a theme that would rear its head again laterโฆ ๐
Dan โNardlesโ Benson was the star with the new ball, taking a season-best 6-31, while Damo and Stevo bowled with great control, picking up wickets at key moments.
The chase couldnโt have started much worse, with Eth, Rap and skipper Cal all back in the pavilion, leaving the Rams 36-3. Damo and Hodge steadied things, but two quick wickets saw the Rams slide to 61-6.
With 98 needed from 15 overs, Benno joined Dag at the crease. Surely not again? Benno unleashed some big blows before Dag departed with the score on 80-7.
Benno continued to counter-attack, while Greggy showed superb maturity at the other end. The pair began to make the Rams believe. Unfortunately, Benno fell for a match-defining 42, leaving 44 still required.
Enter Cal Egg. With limited chances with the bat this year, he wasted no time, launching his third ball for six. Greggy and Cal batted with real clarity, rotating the strike superbly and piling the pressure back onto Blubberhouses.

Greggy, with the faintest of edges, was caught behind to leave the Rams 149-9.
Up stepped Luke Davis against his former club. He couldnโt, could he?

Luke threw his hands at a wide yorker, sending it racing away to the point boundary. Scores level.

The title race goes down to the final weekend, with the Rams travelling to last yearโs champions, Goldsborough, knowing a win will do it.
