A blustery wet start to our walk this morning from Burscough Wharfe towards Martin Mere and Brandreth Barn Cafe, but the sun came out on our way back via Crabtree Tree Lane. Distance covered was just over 6 miles.

This morning's walk from Dalton Church was just under 5 miles.
We walked down Higher Lane and Dungeon Lane with the intention of walking through Blackbird's Farm to Chapel Bridge.
We met a fellow walker, who informed us that there were cows in the field.
We decided to walk along Lees Lane and through Priors Wood Hall, to join the canal instead.
We then walked along the canal to Newburgh and stopped at AppleCast for refreshments before getting the bus back.

Today we got the bus to Chorley bus station to start our walk.
We made our way to the canal and walked along the towpath.
We then followed footpaths through Duxbury woods.
After a couple of wrong turns (no sign posts)we eventually found our way to Yarrow Valley Park visitor centre, where we stopped for drinks.
We had a really enjoyable day and the rain stayed off until we were on the bus home.

Another fabulous morning walk today, from Alder Lane playing fields in Parbold.
We walked through the village and followed the footpaths over the fields behind Fairhurst hall, to Chorley Rd.
We had a bit of an uphill slog up Hillside Avenue to Hunter's Hill quarry, then made our way to High Moor and across the fields to Thirsty &Co.
After a refreshment stop, we walked through the Fairy Glen, then followed the footpath across the fields to Wood Lane and through Chapel Lane Meadows.
Great company and chats as always.

This morning we had a blustery walk from Dalton Church to Burscough Wharf.
We walked down Higher Lane and across the fields, passing the bluebell woods to Newburgh Sports Club.
We then made our way to the canal and walked to Burscough along the towpath.
After a refreshment stop at Hugo's we got the bus back to Skem.
We had a lovely walk and luckily the rain stayed off.

It was just the 3 of us and Maisie this evening for a drizzly walk from Dalton Church.
We walked down Higher Lane, along Hillock Lane then followed the brick path uphill and across fields to Longheys Lane.
We walked down the lane and up the footpath to Stonehall then came back over the golf course.
It was a good work out, with lovely company.

8 of us started from the Ashurst Centre towards St Michael All Angels Church, Dalton countryside and Beacon Country Park, where we stopped at The Coppice Cafe for refreshment before coming back via Elmers Green and Fosters Green. We covered a distance of nearly 5 miles.
Many thanks to all of you who joined me for the walk.
