💙🤍💙🤍 The Skegness Imps U14'S continued their impressive start to the campaign this weekend, securing a hard-fought 2-0 victory against Ruskington Under 14s. This result marks the team's second game of the season, keeping them perfect with a 2 for 2 record. It was a cohesive team performance from start to finish, characterized by high energy and great discipline on the pitch.
The defensive unit was particularly standout, with the back line playing with incredible composure to neutralize the Ruskington attack. Their ability to read the game and hold their shape provided the essential foundation that allowed the rest of the team to push forward with confidence. In the midfield, Paul made a massive impact upon coming on; his tireless work rate and constant movement were relentless, earning him a well-deserved Man of the Match award. Upfront, Eithan (Ginge) played incredibly well, holding his own and driving the attack single-handedly, which led the opposition manager to name him the Opposition Manager's Player of the Match.
The scoring showcased the team's clinical teamwork in the final third. Isaac opened the scoring with a clinical finish, expertly assisted by Finley. The Imps doubled their lead later in the match when the roles reversed, as Finley found the back of the net following a well-placed assist from Isaac.
