IS YOUR BODY ACTUALLY ROADWORTHY? 🏎️
You wouldn’t dream of driving from Skegness to London with the oil light flashing, flat tyres, and cheap petrol in the tank.
So why do we do it to our bodies? 🤷♂️
Think of your training like your car’s mechanics:
⛽ THE FUEL: There is a massive difference between Premium Super Unleaded and cheap, watered-down fuel. If you’re fuelling your "engine" with highly processed junk and wonder why you’re stalling mid-session, there’s your answer. High-performance results require high-quality fuel. 🥩🥦
🛢️ THE OIL: Water is your motor oil. Dehydration creates internal friction, your joints start to grind, and you overheat. 🌡️ If you’re running "dry," you aren’t training—you’re just wearing down your parts.
🛞 THE TYRES: Tiredness is your tyre pressure. Trying to hit a PB when you're exhausted is like driving on four flat tyres. You’re working twice as hard to move half as fast, and you’re begging for a blowout. You need to "pump them up" with sleep to get a smooth ride.
⚠️ THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT: Ignoring a "niggle" or a sharp pain? That’s a knocking sound in the engine. If you keep redlining it, you aren’t "pushing through"—you’re headed for a total breakdown.
The Bottom Line: Your body is the only vehicle you’re never allowed to trade in. 🛠️
Don't wait for a total breakdown to book a "service." Put in the premium fuel, top up the oil, check your pressure, and listen to the warning lights. 🔧💪
