🥋🖤 CONGRATULATIONS MRS ROSE! PROMOTED TO 3RD DEGREE BLACK BELT! 👏

A fantastic announcement, a journey built through years of training, commitment and perseverance.

We are delighted to congratulate Mrs Jeanette Rose on achieving her promotion to 3rd Degree Black Belt. 🥋🏆

For those outside martial arts, reaching Black Belt can sometimes look like the final destination.

In reality, it's the beginning of another journey.

Progressing through the Dan grades requires continued training, development and a willingness to keep learning, and Jeanette continues to do exactly that.

What makes this achievement even more special to us is everything she contributes to UKTI along the way ❤️

Jeanette is a valued part of our club, supporting our classes, helping our students and contributing behind the scenes, while still finding the time and determination to work towards her own goals.

It's wonderful to see that dedication rewarded with another significant milestone.

It's also great to see our adult students continuing to progress through the ranks.

Martial arts doesn't have to be something you did as a child.

There is always another technique to improve, another goal to work towards and another level to reach.

Today, however, belongs to Mrs Rose.

🥋 WHAT A DAY AT THE UKTI ACADEMY! 👏

Yesterday was a full day of learning, development, progression and opportunities for the future. Well done to everyone who joined us 🥋

⭐ PATTERNS SUPPORT BOOSTER

Students arrived with different levels of knowledge, some needing extra help with grading movements and patterns.

With focused instructing, corrections and repetition, they left with far greater understanding and confidence than they arrived with. 🥋

🔥 UKTI ENGLAND SQUAD TRAINING

Students worked hard on reaction speed, explosiveness, footwork, counter-attacks, hitting and moving, plus confidence under pressure.

Plenty of concentration, effort and definitely plenty of sweat! 💦👊

🏆 TWO NEW BLUE TAGS!

Congratulations to Sebastian and Ayla, who successfully completed their gradings and are now officially 5th Kup Blue Tags! 💙

Both demonstrated fantastic focus, concentration and determination.

Those belts were earned. Well done! 👏

🎓 DEVELOPING OUR FUTURE INSTRUCTORS

We finished with our FREE Leadership & Instructors Course, conducted by Grandmaster John and Mr John.

The turnout was fantastic, with students putting themselves forward to develop their leadership, become better class assistants or potentially work towards becoming UKTI instructors one day.

We believe in developing instructors from within, giving students opportunities to learn, assist and gain experience while maintaining the standards and values we've built over 33 years.

The concentration, focus and eye contact throughout were a brilliant way to finish the day.

🥋 SEPTEMBER: A GREAT TIME TO START SOMETHING NEW.

What a positive start to September at UKTI Martial Arts 👌

Over the past few weeks, we've welcomed brand-new students for their first trial lessons, alongside many familiar faces returning after the summer holidays.

The result has been a brilliant atmosphere in our classes, with:

😂🥋 BETTER LATE THAN NEVER, NICO! ☀️➡️❄️

There are some moments in class that you just HAVE to capture… and this was definitely one of them 😂

After enjoying a well-earned long summer holiday break, Nico made his return to training this week.

There was just one small piece of unfinished summer business waiting for him…
His UKTI Summer T-Shirt. In mid-September 🤣☀️

So, naturally, we called Nico to the front of the class for the very prestigious presentation of his brand-new summer shirt…

Just in time for winter! 😂❄️

Nico saw the funny side immediately and couldn't stop chuckling, and neither could everyone else.

All jokes aside, it was brilliant to have him back amongst the others in the Dojang and training with us again 👊🥋

The summer t-shirt may have arrived a little late…

🥳 DONE SOFT PLAY? BOUNCY CASTLES? LOOKING FOR A BIRTHDAY PARTY THEY HAVEN’T DONE BEFORE? 🥋🎂

Meet Samuel, who celebrated turning 6 with us a few days ago! 🎉

Samuel isn't currently a UKTI student. His family heard about our Martial Arts Parties through social media, word of mouth and UKTI's local reputation, and decided to try something completely different for his big day.

What a group we had! 👏

The children were an absolute pleasure, polite, enthusiastic and ready to get involved.

Samuel had a fantastic time, the energy was brilliant, and we received some lovely positive feedback from the parents afterwards. 🧡

You DON'T have to be a competitor to benefit from Squad Training.

Some students attend because they want to compete. Others simply want to become quicker, sharper, more confident and more capable martial artists.

WHO YOUR CHILD SPENDS THEIR TIME AROUND MATTERS.

When parents choose an after-school activity, it’s easy to look at the obvious things, like location, times and price.

But there’s something much more important:

Who is helping to shape them while they’re there?

It isn't simply about learning how to punch and kick.

Our next UKTI Grading Support Booster Course is coming up, perfectly timed ahead of our final grading of 2026. 🎯

📅 Sunday 20th September 2026
⏰ 12:30–1:30pm

📍 UKTI Academy, Silsoe

This additional training session is designed specifically to help students brush up on the movements, techniques, stances and patterns they'll need for their grading.

With an International Instructor & Examiner leading the course, students receive something that's difficult to achieve during a busy weekly class:

👉 Extra individual correction and attention.

Hands and feet can be physically adjusted into the correct positions, stances refined and techniques broken down so students better understand what an examiner is looking for and where marks can be improved.

Students can use the session to:

🥋 Brush up on patterns & movements
🎯 Correct stances and technique
👊 Improve accuracy & presentation
⭐ Understand grading expectations
💪 Build confidence before applying
🏆 Identify areas that still need work

This is NOT a grading. It's an extra opportunity to learn, correct mistakes and leave better prepared for one.
