What a lovely way to bring the summer to a close! A huge thank you to everyone who attended—your energy and smiles always make these nights so special. I’m also immensely grateful to Claire W, Sue K, and Jane Halliday for stepping up and organizing everything so seamlessly in my absence.

🎾 Huge Summer of Tennis Success for Grace! 🎾
We want to send a massive congratulations to Grace for an incredible summer season of tennis!
Grace’s impressive run started back in June when she won the Shropshire county final of the Play Your Way to Wimbledon tournament. That qualified her for the junior national finals, taking her all the way to the iconic grass courts of Wimbledon! Competing in the U14 girls tournament alongside 47 top players from across the country—and reaching the final 16—was an unforgettable experience.
Her strong form continued across the region throughout the summer:
* Abingdon: Champion in the U18 Grade 4 tournament.
* Carisbrooke: Runner-up in both the U14 and U16 Grade 3 regional tournaments, knocking out the top seed in both semi-finals!
To cap off an extraordinary summer, Grace had a incredible week at the Shropshire County Championships, sweeping three titles:
🏆 U14 Girls Singles Champion
🏆 U14 Mixed Doubles Champion
🏆 U14 Girls Doubles Champion (won alongside her little sister, Izzy—a hugely special highlight for the family!)
Congratulations Grace on all your hard work, grit, and amazing achievements! SLTC is super proud of you! 👏🌟

This week we see the last two summer league matches.

Tomorrow night the Men's 2nd team head to Wem where they have a vital match to gain promotion to the Premier league, they just need a draw to secure this.
Also on Thursday the Men's 6th team head to Worfield.

With just a few weeks left until the end of the season, we have more crucial matches coming up:

On Tuesday & Sunday, the Ladies' 5 take on Worthen. They need just 3 points to win their league 💪

On Wednesday evening the Men's 1st team will be at HOME, playing a huge match against The Hollies' 1st team. We need to win 4 points to be back-to-back Premier League champions 🏆They would love you to go down and cheer them on; you won't want to miss this one.

There is still time to enter this years County Championship, hosted at SLTC and Town Walls. The Lawn Bar will be open with a great selection of drinks and also pizza will be on sale, there is also more parking too.
