Just when we thought we’d survived the six-week beginners’ course. Thought we’d made it through our passing out game.
Then at tonight’s training… Head Coach, Rob brings out the tennis balls. 🎾🎾

39 players, two teams and one absolutely brilliant afternoon of rugby.

It was an incredible match from start to finish, with everyone playing together, backing each other and getting to know our teammates even better along the way. We also had so many of our newest players take to the pitch for the very first time today, which made it even more special💙

Huge congratulations to Shrewsbury Red on the win, but today was a success for the whole club. We finished the day with a team potluck, celebrating each other and everything we’ve achieved together.

A special shoutout to our Players of the Match: Forward Becky Jones and Back Liv Shaw for Red, and Forward Hannah Slater and Back Shelly Theron for Blue🍻👏

❤️ In the red(ish) corner, our amazing Shrewsbury Reds are ready to take on the challenge! 🫜

With not one, not two, but seven debutants on the team, we're expecting some fresh energy and new skills on the field! And leading the charge is last week's Captain, the incredible Izzie Lea, who will be head of the reds! 🙌 Menna Jones will be supporting our Forwards as Pack Lead, and we all know she'll bring her A-game!

The Shrewsbury Blues will be taking on the Shrewsbury Reds (or as Head Coach Rob named them, the Shrewsbury Reddishs 🫜).

Both teams have a blend of experienced players, as well as new Inner Warrior recruits playing. The Blues have seven debutants playing alongside our 1st XV's Captain, Vice-Captain and Pack Lead.

We can't wait to see who will be on the opposition's team sheet!
