π WEEKEND ROUND-UP
A strong weekend for Frankwell with wins for the 1s and 3s. π΄
1st XI β
A big home win against St Georgeβs 2nd XI.
Guy Leslie (3-18) made the early breakthroughs before Yassir Pugh starred with 5-35 and Tom Anderson added 2-16.
Clarke Alaimo (54) and Ben Smith (48*) then controlled the chase to see Frankwell home.
2nd XI β
The 2s were beaten by six wickets away at Cound.
Edward Courteney-Harris top-scored with 38, but Cound stayed on top of the chase to take the points.
3rd XI β
A massive 39-run win against Bomere Heath in the fight for survival.
Mohammad Taha Sohail hit his second century of the season as Frankwell posted 207-4, before the Hanna-Davies twins struck early with the new ball.
A special mention to Henry Bedford, who impressed with the ball on his senior debut. π
Two big wins and plenty to build on. π

π WEEKEND ROUND-UP
A tough weekend for the Well, but plenty of fight across all three sides.
1st XI β Lost by 2 wickets
Another difficult day with the bat as the 1s were bowled out for 99 away at Willey.
Frankwell made a real game of it with the ball, Jack Orbell and Guy Leslie taking three wickets each, but Willeyβs lower order held their nerve to sneak home by two wickets.
2nd XI β Draw
Runs, runs and more runs at Frankwell.
Captain Nick Bevan led the way with a superb 81 from just 47 balls as the 2s piled up 317-5 from their 40 overs.
Three early wickets gave Frankwell a great start with the ball, but Bridgnorthβs middle order dug in. Regular wickets followed, but the final breakthrough never came and the points were shared.
3rd XI β Lost by 94 runs
A tough trip to Wem for the 3s, with the hosts posting 248-5.
Youngster Matthew Marshall was the standout in reply, hitting an excellent 54 from 54 balls and keeping Frankwell in the chase.
His dismissal triggered a collapse from 83-2 to 97-7, and despite some late resistance, the 3s were bowled out for 154.

π WEEKEND ROUND-UP
A weekend of mixed fortunes for Frankwell, with the 2s picking up a big win on the road.
1st XI β Lost by 7 wickets
The unbeaten run finally came to an end for the 1st XI away at Forton.
It was a tough day with the bat as Frankwell were dismissed for 83, Clarke Alaimo providing the main resistance with 40.
Forton made steady work of the chase, reaching the target for the loss of three wickets.
A rare off day for the 1s β dust ourselves down and go again next week.
2nd XI β Won by 54 runs
A win for the 2s at Allscott Heath.
At 59-4 and then 118-7, things were looking slightly ropey, but Mikey Walkerβs quickfire 35 gave the innings some momentum before Charles Higgin (43) and ECH (34) produced a brilliant lower-order recovery to drag Frankwell up to 190.
Then came the fun bit.
Young Gabe Hanratty removed the top three to put the hosts under immediate pressure before Adam Morris ripped through the rest of the order, finishing with a superb six-wicket haul.
Allscott were bowled out for 136 and the 2s headed home with a very welcome 54-run victory.
3rd XI β Lost by 5 wickets
Cricket is a funny old game.
After three wins on the bounce, the 3s were bowled out for just 35 at home to Knockin β with nobody quite managing to trouble double figures.
That should probably have been thatβ¦
But Dan Hanna-Davies (3-19) and James Hanna-Davies (2-18) had other ideas, reducing Knockin to an extraordinary 16-5.
For a few overs, the impossible genuinely looked on.
Unfortunately, the visitorsβ middle order held their nerve and got them over the line by five wickets.
One of those days β but fair play to the bowlers for making a game of it.
