✨ EXCITING OPPORTUNITY AT THE POOL SKOOL ✨

We’re currently in the process of renovating our upstairs space and we're looking for a pregnancy, baby or toddler-focused business that might be interested in joining us from January 2027.

The space will include a large open-plan studio area with soft/padded flooring, plus a separate private room - ideal for things such as antenatal/postnatal classes, pregnancy yoga, baby massage, sensory/development sessions, toddler activities or similar.

With over 500 swimmers and their families visiting The Pool Skool each week, we’d love to find a business that complements what we already do, with opportunities for us to cross-promote and grow alongside each other.

The space is currently being refurbished, with some flexibility in the final set-up for the right business.

Welcome to The Pool Skool!

We’re a private swim school based in Shefford, Bedfordshire, and this October we’ll be celebrating 3 years of The Pool Skool! 🥳🌊

Over the last three years we’ve grown into a busy little swim school, now welcoming around 500 swimmers through our doors every week across our two warm, indoor pools.

So, if you’re new to our page, here’s a little reminder of everything we offer 👇🏼

1️⃣ Parent & Child Swimming
From 4 months old, building water confidence through fun, relaxed sessions.

2️⃣ Pre-School Swimming Lessons
For little swimmers aged 2.5–4 years, helping them develop independence and confidence in the water.

3️⃣ Children’s Swimming Lessons
Following Swim England Stages 1–7, with small groups of no more than 3 swimmers so every child gets plenty of teacher attention.

4️⃣ 121 & 221 Lessons
For swimmers who would benefit from more individual attention or prefer private tuition.

5️⃣ Adult Swimming Lessons
From complete beginners and nervous swimmers to those wanting to improve their strokes and technique.

6️⃣ SWIM FIT | Elite Performance Training
For Stage 5+ swimmers wanting to work on fitness, stamina, technique and performance.

7️⃣ Private Pool Parties
Private use of the pool with floats, toys, music and a qualified lifeguard — perfect for birthdays and celebrations!

8️⃣ Private Pool Hire
Our pools are also available for private hire, including hydrotherapy/physio sessions.

9️⃣ Trial Lessons
Paid trial lessons are available, so you can come along and see what you think before committing.

WEEKEND POOL PARTIES AT THE POOL SKOOL! 🎉

We’re excited to announce that we’re now offering private pool parties at weekends!

Parties will be available from approximately 3.30pm Saturdays & Sundays, once our swimming lessons have finished for the day.

For the time being, our parties will be pool-time only, as our upstairs party area remains closed – but there’s still plenty of fun to be had in the pool!

🎈 POOL PARTY PRICES

1 hour – £150
1.5 hours – £180
2 hours – £210
2.5 hours – £240

👧 Maximum of 8 children per party

✨ WHAT’S INCLUDED?

• x1 qualified lifeguard poolside throughout
• Music of your choice
• Floats, toys, water guns & other pool equipment
• Private use of the pool for your party

🛟 A FEW IMPORTANT SAFETY BITS

• Please let us know when booking if any children are non-swimmers or not confident in the water
• Children who are unable to comfortably stand in our 1.2m-deep pool will need a responsible adult in the water with them
• Under 8s who cannot swim confidently will require an adult in the water
• Normal pool safety rules apply throughout the party

Whether it’s a birthday, celebration or just an excuse to get a group of friends together, you’ll have the pool to yourselves to splash, play and have some fun! 🥳🎂

WE’RE BACK TOMORROW! 🏊‍♀️

After a lovely 2-week summer break, The Pool Skool will be reopening its doors tomorrow and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back💙

It’s been a very busy two weeks behind the scenes with lots happening at the pool, so please bear with us if you’ve sent an email or message while we’ve been closed.

Our office will be back on emails & socials from tomorrow, working through everything that’s come in over the break as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience, and we can’t wait to see all of our swimmers back in the pool! 🏊‍♂️✨

Summer Closure Reminder 🌴

We’ll be closed for our annual summer break from Monday 3rd August to Sunday 16th August.

Last lessons: Sunday 2nd August
Back in the pool: Monday 17th August

Our team works incredibly hard all year, so this short break gives everyone a chance to rest and recharge before we’re back doing what we love.

🌈 Learning through play is what our Preschool Programme is all about!

From colour-matching games and water confidence activities to developing important swimming skills, our little swimmers have so much fun while they learn!

These simple games help build:
🟢 Water confidence
🟡 Listening skills
🔴 Coordination and balance
🔵 Early swimming techniques
🟣 Lots of smiles and laughter!

We currently have spaces available in our Preschool Programme on weekday mornings between 10am–12pm.
