It’s carnival weekend! We will be at Bakewell carnival this week taking part in the parade and performing as usual! It’s a great family day out so why not come out to see us, the sun should be shining ☀️

🌙 The Night Before the Show 🌙
For the dancers of the June Fletcher Dance Academy

The stage lies quiet, calm, and bare,
Tomorrow’s dreams will sparkle there.
Shoes are packed, the costumes pressed,
Butterflies are doing their best.

Mirrors shimmer with whispered cheers,
Reflections holding hopes and fears.
From tiny tots to seniors tall,
The rhythm’s waiting to enchant us all.

Hours of practice, leaps, and turns,
The music calling—how it burns!
Each dancer ready, heart aglow,
The magic builds, the lights will show.

JFDA will light the night,
With every spin and step so bright.
A family bound by dance and song,
Together strong, where all belong.

So rest your feet, your dreams take flight,
Sleep well, dear dancers—shine so bright.
For when dawn breaks, the curtains rise,
And stars will twirl before our eyes.

Great day at Bakewell carnival as always! Never stopped dancing during the parade 🤩 We are so proud of all our pupils today ❤️

Today many of our pupils will be performing at Bakewell carnival!
They have been working hard to prepare for today.
We will be running a dance session 1pm-2pm on the field near Bakewell Pavilion, which anyone can join in with.
We will then take part on the parade which starts at 3pm from the park and around Bakewell town centre.
When the parade ends we will perform in the grass arena (near the park) at approx. 4.30pm.
