Introducing Black🖤

Black is our level 3 tumble team. Black is the highest level cheerleading we do at the University of Sheffield, they won both national and grand champions at their final two competitions.

We are so proud of this team and can’t wait to see what they bring next season!🐯

Introducing Gold💛

Gold is our level 2 non-tumble team and scored first place at all their competitions this year making them your current national champs for their division.

We are so proud of this team and can’t wait to see what they bring next season!🐯

Introducing Platinum🤍

Platinum is our level 1 tumble team and not only are they the current national champs, but they are the reigning grand champions of level 1 student cheerleading. This means they scored the highest within all divisions at level 1 at their competitions.

We are so proud of this team and cannot wait to see what they bring next season!🐯

Introducing Sapphire💙

Sapphire is our performance team, while they similarly train once a week like amethyst they differ through compulsory training for a carefully created routine that will be performed during varsity and other fixtures.

Sapphire perform at some of the biggest university fixtures in Sheffield, known as sports park.

Can’t wait to see what this team brings next season!🐯💛

Introducing Amethyst💜

Amethyst is our development and social team, training once a week to learn new skills and build on existing skills.

This team offers the lowest commitment within the 5 teams, while offering the full benefits of being part of the Sabrecats family✨

Congratulations to everyone who got their A-Level results and university offers today, whether you got into your first choice or not you’ll have the best time next year and we hope you’re all celebrating tonight and if you got into Sheffield we hope to meet you in September!!

And finally I get to introduce (for the third time) Maria, our Head coach who also coaches our level three team Black. Last year the Sabrecats had such a successful season and so much of that Maria is to be thanked for!!

Aswell as coaching Black and Gold, she also attends other team’s training sessions to help choreograph so whichever team you’re on next year you will still get to benefit from Maria’s extensive cheer experience (which includes being silver World Champion 2024 and a part of the Team England programme 23-25!)

We can’t wait to see what Maria has planned for all the teams this year!!!!!!

I’m so excited to announce that this year the club is expanding to have two tumble coaches! We are welcoming back Emma who was our tumble coach last year aswell as Jess who will now be helping her - We’re sure that with the two of them our tumbles will be flawless this year!!

If this post is giving you Déjà vu that might be because this is the second post for this duo! Aswell as coaching Gold, Maria and Lucy are also our kit secs (and Maria both Head coach and Blacks coach on top of that!) It is safe to say these two are going to be extremely busy this year contributing to the club, we couldn’t be more grateful for all the work they’re putting in and we can’t wait to see what this year holds for Gold with these two coaching!!!!

This year Niamh and Louise are our platinum coaches!! These two have some big shoes to fill after the teams results last year but with Louise’s prior coaching experience and Niamh’s very impressive cheer career I’m sure these two are more than capable of ensuring platinum continue their winning streak- as Niamh said we are hoping for another GRAND season!!!!!!
