A lovely message from Naomi after trying a studio class with me this week.
So many of us carry tension in our shoulders and neck without even realising quite how much we’re holding.
“It was lovely to meet you too and I am so grateful for the trial session. I thoroughly enjoyed it and afterwards was reminded of how important it is to take care of ourselves! I had forgotten how much stress I carry in my shoulders and neck, and the session helped me begin to work on this again.”
Thank you Naomi! I’m so pleased you enjoyed the class and I’m looking forward to having you join us properly in September.

I’ve had some lovely messages after classes this week, sometimes we notice benefits straight away but other changes are more gradual 😊.
Like Ken who attends class every Thursday morning. After class this week he mentioned that his shoulder, back and hip no longer give him the problems they used to. He then laughed and said perhaps it’s actually the salad he has for lunch every day 😂.
We decided it’s probably not one thing 😁😁.
Pilates is part of looking after ourselves, alongside all the other things we do to stay healthy and active. And I think there’s a lot to be said for the things we do regularly, week after week, without necessarily noticing what a difference they’re making at the time.
Thank you, as always, for the lovely messages. I never get tired of hearing that you’ve enjoyed a class or that you’re feeling better afterwards ❤️

You probably already know that Pilates would be good for you 😁.
For most people, the hard part isn’t deciding whether they should do it, but making it part of their actual week.
It’s finding the time, deciding when to do it, getting yourself organised and then actually showing up.
That’s why I care so much about keeping Pilates realistic and manageable. It doesn’t need to be perfect or feel like another big thing to fit in. It can simply be a regular time to move, feel better and look after yourself.
Often, it isn’t really more motivation that’s needed. It’s having something in the diary, knowing what you’re doing and being guided through it.
That’s when Pilates can start to become part of your life, rather than something you keep meaning to get round to.
I’m working on something around this at the moment, which I’ll share more about soon 😊
