☔It was points shared all round for the Saturday XI's. The picture from our friends at Bawtry with Everton who the 3rd XI were due to play☔

🏏As for the Sunday XI, well, more about that later🏏

🏏The Women & Girls Aston Hall Stars team have made it through to finals day on 6th September!🏏

🕊The quarter finals start at 10 am at Worsbrough Bridge CC and hopefully the team goes all the way!🕊

🏏The y would love some support and there are food and drinks available at the pavilion🏏

🕊️The 2nd XI are at home today vs Hallam CC 2nd XI🕊️

☀️The day started with some sunshine if you were up early enough but the rest of the day is not looking at all sunny. Hopefully we can dodge the rain and get some cricket in!☀️

So the games have been set for this Sundays (30th August) Aston Hall Sports Day.

Bar & BBQ are open from Midday, Team Registration will be from 2pm looking to start at 2.30pm.

Teams will be compiled on the day to allow families to compete together but if you have any preference or want to build a team then let them know at registration!

Lets hope the weather plays nicely and there is plenty of competitive fun.

🏏Sunday Senior Team Result🏏

🕊The Sunday team were at home to Hollinsend Methodist Sunday side. It was always going to be a tight game with the reverse fixture seeing Aston win by a single run. Hollinsend batted first and put on a great total of 306/2 with Aston toiling away in the unexpected Sunday sun.🕊

🏏The batting got underway and it was a tough start but Aston were keeping up with the run rate. Hammad paced his innings well and ended on 182 off just 109 balls. Declan partnered Hammad along the way and they got Aston close to the line. Despite the efforts Aston fell just short this time. 🏏

🕊Special mentions to Hammad for another massive innings and to Declan who is on a great streak for the Sunday side with a maiden Century at Mansfield Hosiery Mills followed by two 50+ scores finishing on 67 from 70 balls this week.🕊

🏏Saturday Senior Teams Result🏏

🕊The 1st XI were at home this week to Shiregreen 1st XI with a couple of players missing they fought hard but unfortunately Shiregreen came out victorious. The 2nd XI were away at Norton Woodseats and secured a great win to bring the points back to Green Lane in their fight to stay up. 3rd XI had no game this weekend.🕊

🏏Special mentions is all about the 2nd XI, Zayn Wasim getting 6 wickets for just 29 runs off his 8 overs and then Mark Barnard hitting a quick 61 off 49 balls to get them off to a great start in the run chase. Congratulations chaps!🏏
