Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park junior parkrun

Unfortunately due to not having enough volunteers available. I will be cancelling the event tomorrow. Not having enough volunteers means that we can't ensure the safety of all our junior participants.

We hope to see you all on another week.

Why not take this opportunity to try out one of the other junior parkruns around Sheffield?

We still have a large number of roles that need filling on our roster.

The minimum number of volunteers we need to put on the event safely and give every junior a time is 15 and we are currently at 7.

Without volunteers we would be unable to go ahead so please get in touch if you are free, either by replying to this post, messaging us here on Facebook, or by email at [email protected]

A decision will be made later this evening by 10pm as to whether we have enough to go ahead or not.

We are still in need of volunteers for this weekend's event.

One more thing, the carpark at Canon Arena now has parking charges, it is £1 for up to 2 hours. Stays of under 30 minutes will be free. Please take this information into account when visiting. I will make an announcement at the event to remind everyone.

Thanks the everybody who has come forward to volunteer! We have enough to go ahead tomorrow morning and look forward to seeing everybody there!

I hope all the adults had their parkrun fix this morning, and now it's the turn of our juniors, we need a minimum of 2 Marshals to have our event. We can do with a few more to make it more complete. Who's amazing and can give us a hand tomorrow?

Thank you to all who attended today and what a wonderful effort from all of our runners! It was nice to welcome a few first timers to our course too :)

Big congratulations to Joanna who hit her 10 run milestone, and belated congrats to Harriet who picked up her 25 run milestone wristband (but hit 25 last weekend)
