Sheffield Roller Hockey Academy

Big CONGRATULATIONS to the Northern Counties Rink Hockey Association under 11s team who won Inter-Regional Championship on Saturday.
The Academy's very own Elijah and Noah helped the Northern Counties team to a 3-3 draw with the Eastern Counties and a tense 6-0 win against South Eastern Counties to clinch the title by 1 goal on goal difference !!
Thanks go to Coach Evie who had the difficult task of pulling the team together to deliver 2 excellent performances on the day ... Well done everyone !!

Tomorrow we now have 4 of our finest Cadets attending the Northern Counties u13s Regional Trials in Manchester.
Hallam, Elijah, Carla and Javell will try-out for a spot in the regional team that will represent the Northern Counties region at the upcoming National Regional Championships against the very best players from the Eastern and South East Regions.
Well done to you all, do your best and enjoy the experience on the day ...

After excelling in the NCRHA u13s League Javell, Hallam and Carla have been selected to try-out for the regional team and are in with a chance of representing the Northern Counties region at the upcoming National Regional Championships against the very best players from the Eastern and South East Regions.

The Academy u11s team found themselves of the wrong side of a tight Cup game with our cross-city rivals. A classic cup match where the lead swapped a few times as each team tried to gain an advantage and it wasn't until the last couple of minutes that a bit of daylight was made between the two teams.

Well done to our Academy team who were edged out of the u13s Cup semi-final on Saturday by a much more clinical M'Boro side. On the day the team did themselves proud with an all-round great performance !! 💙❤️💙❤️💙

The Academy has a very busy weekend ahead with both our u13s (Sat 28th March) & u11s (Sun 29th March) teams in action in one-off, winner takes all Northern Counties Cup Semi-Finals which will hopefully see them progress to the NCRHA Finals in July !!
The NCRHA Knock-Out Cup games will both be played in Manchester and take place on;
u13s - Sat 28th March
u11s - Sun 29th March

Well done to the Academy u11s team who were in action recently in the NCRHA League at Stocksbridge. The team were able to chalk up a draw and 2 hard fought losses on the day.
Keep up the hard work team (including the coaches and managers), you're all doing a great job !! 😁👍

This weekend saw the Academy u11s team in action back in Sheffield for the 1st time at Ponds Forge for the 3rd Match Day of the Northern Counties Rink Hockey Association League.
We had much to celebrate even after a tough start against the league leaders and a strong Manchester team, we ended the game with credit-worthy performance even in defeat. This set us up for 2 more battling games where we were victorious against M'Boro and also against our cross-city rivals - A notable first to win 2 games in the same tournament ... Well done team !!
Also big congratulations Jacob and Ruthie who made their debuts for the Academy, what a fantastic start to your roller hockey career !!
A massive thanks also go out to the 'Team Behind The Team' who made all this possible including;
Timekeepers - Minah & Steph, Ref - Paddy, Team Manager - Anne and many other helpers - Frazer, Diane, Jordi, Kelly-Anne and Shaz !!
Big thanks aslo go to our funding partners SWIIS Foster Care and the Rebecca Dunn Benevolent Fund who helped us make our 1st Home tournament back in Sheffield such a special event !!

Following the recent resignation of our President, we will be holding an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 5 February 2026. 7pm - 9pm

The purpose of the EGM is to invite expressions of interest for the role of President. If you are interested in taking on this position, please send applications in advance to [email protected]

We are seeking the right person to lead the Executive Committee and help drive both the committee and our region forward. There is already a strong platform in place for the new President to build upon and further develop.
