TED LASSO shout out! Weāre loving this season already as it tackles many of the issues faced by girls and women in sport. We loved the free period wear in the new womenās team changing rooms. This is what all sports changing rooms and sports venues should have! If youāre not sure why changing rooms and sports venues should provide free period wear, drop us a DM.
Itās great that Ted Lasso is showing the way. Does your club provide free period wear in the changing rooms? Tag them to say thanks and give them a shout out!
What a finish!

Happy dance for a new brand in the WAGIS x LBS shop! Eleven as One is footy kit designed for older girls and young women. Founder Julia saw a gap in the market after a disappointing shopping trip for girlsā football kit (weāve all been there, right?).
Weāre stocking this blue training kit - the shorts are super popular with their double waistband and we love the tops with this gorgeous detail on the back.
If youāre getting ready for the ā½ļø footy season, check it out in the shop - link in bio!
Smile at the end says it all! Good job Ivy Raftery š¦šŗšÆšµ š

Ireland rugby unionās Grace Moore Grace Moore is one of our speakers and recently spoke at a Girls in Sport event at Tonbridge Juddians RFC Academy .
TJās is one of the leading academies in the country so we were privileged to be asked to source a speaker.
Head of Academy, Gareth Withers said, āGrace gave a great insight into her journey to the top of the game and I felt it covered a lot of aspects that would be relatable to our young audience. She spoke well about adversity and resilience and answered questions from the floor well. She presented herself fantastically and stayed around to talk to people well after the event finished.ā
Female Academy Captain, Delyth Huddart said, āI think having Grace Moore come as a speaker was exciting and inspiring, because it was good to hear from a current player whoās playing at such a high level. I enjoyed hearing her talk about her journey and how it wasnāt linear, and how her rugby career started later on in life. I think that my biggest takeaway from hearing her speak was that people will find you when the time is right, and that the most important thing to do as a player is to always enjoy what you are doing and making sure itās the right thing for you.ā

āThe atmosphere at Lordās was amazing; there were about 28,000 people and it felt really special. Iād say there were probably more women and children than men, and it was just a brilliant atmosphere.ā Katie Malkinson from Katie - Little Big Sports
The T20 World Cup final at the home of cricket, Lordās: hosts England vs their age-old rivals Australia. England were aiming to emulate their rugby and football counterparts but this time it wasnāt to be.
Australia won but there is so much positivity to take from this tournament.
šIreland won their first T20 World Cup game ever against semi-finalists West Indies.
š Deepti Sharma became the first Indian man or woman to take 100 T20 international wickets.
š Englandās Danni Wyatt-Hodge was the top run scorer of the tournament with 302 runs.
š Tamzin Brits of South Africa had the highest individual score of 114.
š The attendance at Lordās for the final was 28,887, the highest attended womenās game at the home of cricket.
And the ICC has produced its official stats which are incredible.
246,000 people attended which is three times more than the 2017 cricket World Cup held in England and Wales.
38% were first time cricket buyers! Thatās new people attracted to the sport and coming along to watch.
34% identified as female - more girls and women supporting cricket and hopefully going on to play.
And if you have just discovered cricket, thereās more to watch this summer. TODAY, England started their test match against India and history was made once more. This is the first womenās test match to be played at Lordās, the home of cricket.
Cricket is growing and will be included at the LA28 games for the first time. Nowās the time to get involved.
And if you donāt understand the difference between a test match and T20, weāve put together a little guide. Head to our website and search āCricketā.

This day last year, 8 July 2025, we made our pilgrimage to SOOO London, the first bricks & mortar store dedicated to girls & women in sport.
It was emotional. A space dedicated to sporty girls. A first but yet it had taken until 2025 to happen. š¤Æ
We were accompanied by , bumped into Kelly of NIXI Body period pants and made a special trip to see Lucy from PEBE.
And it was the inspo we needed to start our own girls sports store. Thanks to those brands who are with us already and hereās to those in the pipeline⦠š. And thanks SOOO London for giving us the push we needed and for helping to make it a reality.
Which brands would you like to see?
Link to the shop in bio or head to Little Big Sports website ā”ļø Girls ā¦ā¦ And we do teamwear too so great for schools and clubs.
