I’ve been having a flick through this rather lovely old book, The Dance of Life.

It was given to my grandfather 100 years ago, and he gave it to me 27 years ago — so so it’s been quietly in my life for a while!

This bit caught my eye:

“My style is a dance… every day I count wasted in which there has been no dancing.”

I like that.

Just moving. Listening to your body. Stretching when you’re stiff. Walking the dog. Rolling your shoulders. Putting on a favourite song and having a kitchen wiggle.

Moving slowly. Moving badly. Moving because it feels good.

No rules. No performance. No perfect pose.
