I am Agis Apostolopoulos, a London-based visual communications designer, storyteller, and cyclist. In June 2026, I will set off on a year-long cycling journey across Europe to explore culture through food, community, and shared stories, while raising funds and awareness for cancer research. This journey is in memory of my mum, who lost her life to cancer far too young, at the age of 66. I ride in her memory — and in the hope that cancer research will one day prevent other families from experiencing the same loss. Each week, I will arrive in a new place, share traditional dishes with local people, and tell the stories that bring culture to life around the table. These encounters will also create space for conversations around cancer prevention, including the role of healthy diets, physical activity, and evidence-based research.
