Hope Tech Factory Racing will be strongly represented across all categories, bringing an impressive depth of talent to this year’s 3 Peaks Cyclo-cross.

After spending the past couple of years volunteering at the event, it’s fantastic to see 2022 Female Champion Victoria Peel return to the start line. She will take on a high-quality women’s field in what promises to be an exciting and fiercely contested race.

A good day in the Dales... a number of meetings with landowners / supporters, letter drop to key homes, more signage out and my final Pitch Inspection.
This time I walked Pen-y-ghent, took the time to move some big rocks off the racing line. I will share the images from last year. I did find the loop off the top to be very slippery, lots of surface water. Coming up this weekend.. farm visits and a spot of gardening on PYG.

Ian Ferguson has always been the ultimate competitor, excelling in both fell racing and cyclo-cross throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s.

A triple fell-race champion, Ian was also a consistent challenger to the cyclo-cross elite and a regular presence on the Three Peaks Cyclo-Cross podium:

Racing first for Bradford Cycling Club and later for Helwith Bridge Alers, Ian earned enormous respect through his determination, consistency and competitive spirit.

Having completed 18 Three Peaks events, Ian continues to embrace the challenge today in the Over-60s category. Even more special is sharing the experience with his son Josh, with both now racing for Bingley Harriers.

From outstanding podium performances to the unforgettable “dad and lad” experience, Ian’s contribution, commitment and enduring love of competition remain a remarkable part of the event’s history.
