⚽️U10’s Match Report ⚽️

The girls welcomed Pontefract Colls today in a friendly to try out our new 3G pitch.

Our first 7v7 game for a month or two and the girls started like they had never been away.

We had worked on using the space and the width of the new pitch and they played excellent. The passing and moving was the best they had played for a while and that’s saying something as they have been fantastic all season.

Goals flowed throughout, Fearne, Flo, Georgia, Ruby, Heidi all getting in on the act. Along with some outstanding performances from Harper, Esme, Sienna and Evie.

⭐️ Player of the match Molly was everywhere, tackling, passing and battling in her new role⭐️

💙 U8s Wakefield Owls Gala Report 💛

On an amazing morning for football, the Belles made the journey to Wakefield for their gala.

Just like the previous two galas, the girls knew they would be tested against some fantastic teams in a well organised morning of football. As they have proved all season long they can compete at a fantastic level and they were raring to go.

From the very first whistle the girls were full of determination, driving forward at every opportunity and working incredibly hard for each other in the heat. Their effort and teamwork were outstanding throughout the group stage, where they finished undefeated to progress to the semi-finals.

The girls improved on their previous two gala performances by winning their semi-final and booking a place in the final. It was an incredibly close game against a fantastic Horbury Town Juniors side, with chances at both ends. The Horbury goalkeeper pulled off an unbelievable save in the dying minutes, and despite a brilliant performance from the Belles it was Horbury who came out as the victors. 👏

Now that this part of our season has come to an end we would like to say how incredibly proud we are of every single one of the girls. We set out to challenge them across three difficult galas and they have stepped up every single time. Their attitude, determination and teamwork have been a credit to themselves all season.

Now we shift our focus to tomorrow and our club's end of season presentation. Well done girls you've done yourselves, your families and the club proud! 💙💛

💙U8s Castleford Town Gala Report 💛

The girls made the short journey to Castleford Town for a brilliant morning of football on what turned out to be a very hot day.

We knew going into the tournament that it would be a tough challenge, with some very strong opposition waiting for us. As always, the girls stepped up and gave everything they had, showing fantastic determination and team spirit throughout the day. Their hard work was rewarded with some impressive wins and draws against teams from higher leagues.

The girls finished in a very respectable mid-table position in a tough group, securing their place in the knockout stages. They continued to battle for every ball despite the heat and put in another tremendous effort, but unfortunately their tournament ended with a defeat in the semi-finals.

It was another fantastic experience for the girls, who all worked incredibly hard and played some excellent football against very strong opposition. Time and time again, they prove just how competitive they can be, always stepping up to the challenge and never giving up.

We knew this morning would be difficult but we couldn't be prouder of every single player. Even in the challenging conditions, their attitude, effort, and team spirit never dropped.

⚽️ U10’s Gala Report ⚽️

The girls made their way across to Bridlington for a fantastic Beach gala. ⛱️

After 6 group games winning 3 and drawing 3 including some brilliant performances including a 3 min Hattrick from Esme, Some unbelievable goals from Flo, Heidi and Fearne. The girls progressed to the quarter finals.

They stormed into a 3-0 lead and progressed to the semi finals.

The girls played ridgeway who hadn’t dropped a point all day. The girls were more than a match for them and Evie pulled off an amazing penalty save to keep it 0-0 and it went to penalties 😬.

Unfortunately it wasn’t to be on pens for the girls today but the way they adapted to the change of surface and most importantly enjoyed their day was lovely to see.

Shoutout to Sienna and Harper who both made some great saves whilst in net and both played really well when they came out.

Afterwards the girls enjoyed a dip in the sea and we had our own private chef cooking up a storm on the BBQ. The girls then got taught a lesson by the dads at rounders to top off an all round fantastic day from start to finish.

Today we headed over to a very well organised gala at Queensbury.

The girls played their absolute hearts out, finishing top of their group and progressing to the final after winning on penalties in the semi-final.

The girls finished runners up after a tough match against NEL Lionesses.

The girls battled hard all day and should be immensely proud of their achievement’s!

Another step forward in their growth as a team and future development. As always we are super proud of them 💪🏼💙
