Selby Sub Aqua Club

What makes a good diving club meeting even better? Cake? The fabulous members? The drinks flowing? Being a member of Selby Sub Aqua Club means not only do you get wonderful company & social nights but also fattened up with delicious cakes 🧁

Here’s a few pics Rob took at Eight Acre. These are from the first dive. On the second dive the focus was on completing some modules of Sports Diver for Simon & Jason.

A few of our club members had a days diving at 8 Acre on Saturday, joined by Rob from Grimsby. Here’s a few photos taken from the side, of our divers kitting up & giant striding in.

Lorraine is well on her way to completing her Ocean Diver course. She had a weekend at Capernwray completing some of her skills with Carrie & Deb from Pontefract club 🤿

Simon, Ciaran & Jason had a trip to Capernwray on the 23rd May where they did 2 dives. The max depth was 21.1 meters with a minimum water temperature of 11c. The first dive explored the Star Wars figures & visited the sump, returning via the big plane. Dive 2 started at the big plane, out to Podsnap & Ted Tandy before returning via the diving bell & training area.

Simon took these photos at Capernwray on the 4th April. Diving on the day were Simon, Steve, Gary & Ciaran. The temperature was 8c & they did a shallow dive of 7.8m.

Yesterday Simon took part in the Lifesaver course. He enjoyed the day & found the instructors extremely knowledgeable & professional. Thank you for a great day & fabulous cake 🧁
