Paul Brewer gets us started this week after taking on the Walkington 10K on Friday evening. Well done, Paul! 💪

We also had several members of the squad racing at the Ripon Triathlon Festival. 🌞
Steve O'Neill took on the standard distance event, while Paul O'Neill raced the sprint distance. Well done! 🦁
A huge congratulations to Alison Rodgers, who completed her first ever standard distance triathlon. What an achievement! 👏
Tracy MacInnes also had a fantastic race, finishing 3rd in her age category in the sprint event. Brilliant racing, Tracy! 🥉👏

Alice Inglis was also in action at the Derwent Reservoir Triathlon. Despite a couple of wardrobe malfunctions, bursting out of her wetsuit and swimming with one eye closed thanks to a leaking goggle, she battled through to claim 2nd place. 🥈 Amazing result!

On Saturday and Sunday, Kat Rowland was out running the Endure24 course with her fellow Selby Striders. Kat completed an impressive six laps, with some during the night. Awesome effort, well done! 💪

On Sunday, Dan Hornsby recorded his fastest time of the season at the Lindsey Road Club 10 TT, finishing in 23:42 and taking an impressive 1 minute 18 seconds off his previous time. Well done, Dan! 👏

Mark Rowland was also out racing at the East Lancs 10 TT, continuing to build on a strong and consistent time trial season. Well done, Mark! 👏🚴

Rob Jamison got the week off to a flying start at the MTC Aquathlon, placing 7th overall and 1st in his age category. 🥇

The Lion Squad were out in force at the Lakesman Triathlon on Sunday.
A huge congratulations to Jon Page and Dale Eady, who both took on their first ever half Ironman distance triathlon. Covering a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride and 13.1 mile run is a massive achievement. To make it even more special, it was also Dale's first ever triathlon. Fantastic effort from both athletes! 👏🔥
Steve O'Neill returned for another epic race at The Lakesman, continuing his strong form. 💪

Paul Brewer was back racing at the East Yorkshire Half Marathon. Excellent effort! 💪

Alison Rodgers and Alice Inglis raced at the Sheffield Triathlon, both enjoying the start of their 2026 triathlon season. 🌞

Extended Medal Monday 🦁🏅
A huge congratulations to Lindsey Chapman, who completed the GNS Windermere swim on Friday. Battling choppy conditions, Lindsey finished the 5km swim in an impressive 2 hours 18 minutes.
An amazing achievement. Well done, Lindsey! 👏🏊‍♀️

Our swim coach, Tracy MacInnes, was racing on Saturday and finished as the 4th female at the Windermere SwimRun. An outstanding result while battling wind, swell and choppy conditions in 15°C lakes. 💪👏

Also on Saturday, Mark Rowland was putting his legs to the test in the Peregrine Falcon 25 Mile Time Trial. 🚴👏

Steve O'Neill enjoyed a successful day at the Race the Sun Army Multi Sport Event. Steve's team secured 2nd place in the bike stage and went on to take 1st place overall in the full event. 💪🥇👏

Congratulations to all three athletes on a fantastic weekend of racing! 👏🦁🏅
