⛳ Junior Golf Mondays ⛳️

For those who don’t know, we currently have a small group of our juniors heading out onto the Links every Monday evening from 4:30pm for a friendly 6-hole Texas Scramble.

It’s a great opportunity for kids to get out on the course, learn the game, build confidence and, most importantly, have fun and make new friends!

We currently have around 6 juniors taking part, but we’d love to see that number grow as we look towards entering the Golf Sixes League next year.

All you need is:
⛳ A junior membership
🏌️ A set of clubs
😄 A love of golf and having fun!

Come along, have a go and help us build a great junior section for the future! 💪⛳

If you’d like to join us, contact Shaun on 07835290051 and he’ll add you to the group.

99 competitors played in Wednesday's Gents Multi Tee Medal where Mark Harris kept up his rich vein of form winning Div 1 with his 76/67 being three shots ahead of Stephen Brown who returned 79/70. The evergreen Brian Maguire came 3rd with 80/72. Div 2 saw Mark Davison bring home the spoils with a solid 82/68, just ahead of Jimmy MacKintosh's 80/69 and Andrew Blackwood ( 81/70 ). In Div 3 John Taylor topped the scoring with 85/69 ahead of Adrian Pilcher with 90/71. Mitchell Steele coming in 3rd with his nett 72

On Saturday Seascale played host to 55 competitors from the North of England in a Scratch Open 36 hole competition. In fairly benign conditions Jack Hunter from Workington took home the 1st prize with rounds of 70/68 to beat Seascale’s Simon Young ( 73/67 ). Rob Spence came in 3rd just ahead of our very own Bradley Quayle. Michael Lynch from Seascale won the best nett with a tremendous combined score of 137 , three ahead of Silloth’s Bryan Metson. James Atkinson won the best morning gross with a superb 68 with Ian Robinson taking home the best PM gross with his 71. Bradley Quayle won the best Junior. All participants were full of praise for a well organised comp ( our first attempt at a Scratch 36 ) on a golf course in great condition. We will be sure to pencil the same in for 2027.
