Alpacas are happy chilling out by the lake. The sheep have decided they don't want to be in this field and can't get through the fence. The only logical thing for them to do in this situation is risk drowning and go into the freezing lake to go around the fence.
This is a perfect example of why alpacas are better than sheep!

All the sheep having twins are now settled in the shed ready for them to start having their babies next week. The alpacas are certainly not amused they've been kicked out!
We've decided this year to pause the alpaca walks from this coming Sunday until the beginning of May to give us a bit more time whilst the sheep are lambing. I'll be back alpaca walking as soon as there are less expectant mothers in my maternity shed 🐑

All the sunshine recently has meant the girls have been pretty much living in the lake ☀️🦙

We had a lovely surprise from Cinders on Sunday morning. She wasn't really due for at least a fortnight but obviously decided she wanted to be the first to give birth this year rather than the last 🥰

The girls have been in the lake today which must mean that Spring has officially arrived!

Our telephone line is currently down which means all I can hear at the moment when people call is static. Please don't try to leave a message as we can't understand what anyone is saying.
You can still contact us via the website or email me at [email protected]
Please check your spam folder if you are waiting for a reply as lots of my recent messages have been marked as spam for some reason 🤷‍♀️
Here's the girls enjoying a summer splash in the lake.

The girls have had enough of alpaca walking and started their own alpaca swimming group instead.

So I have done that thing that I promised my lovely husband I wouldn't do and bought some more alpacas. Here are our five new boys from Ferny Rigg Alpacas in Northumberland (highly recommend looking them up if you fancy a stay in a holiday cottage surrounded by cute alpacas). Meet Bilbo, Frodo, Axl, Bo and Hendrix.
