Delighted to have achieved a PB of 50.9 in the McQueens shoot! Having shot a Highest Possible Score in 3 separate classes at 300 yards , means I've won a Gold!!!!

Thank you to everyone who has helped me achieve this, from all those who gave me pointers on the range, to those who provided the ammunition and squadded me in - a huge thank you to you all. Especially thank you to Matt G for his patience waiting for me on the McQueens, whilst I shot; I am truly grateful ❤

It's a Knock Out!!
Delighted that Redricks Target Shooting Club entered 3 teams in the Falling Plates matches for the Imperial Bisley.

For those who do not know, Falling plates is a dynamic, high-adrenaline match where 3 teams compete to knock down a series of steel targets - the quickest to knock down the plates is the winner! This year there were 47 teams! So, through a series of knock outs, and lots of runs, the winner truly is put through their paces!

For the majority of the RTSC shooters, this was their first experience of the falling plates, and boy will we be back there again next year!! Such a fun shoot and spirits are high to win next year! Looking forward to what 2027 brings!!

This Photo Says it All!

When I think of the NRA of the UK Imperial at Bisley, I think of friendship, love, great learning and some shooting thrown in for fun! The camaraderie on and off the range makes these National events so welcoming for beginners and seasoned shooters alike. It was a difficult year with challenging heat and wind conditions. Congratulations to all those winners; especially well done to Matt G who won Gold and Silver medals :D

A huge thank you to everyone working on the ranges, butts and in the background making these events happen. This marked Peter Cottrell's last Imperial as Head of Shooting and Training; he will be sorely missed in this role, but his retirement will mean lots more time on the range, so exciting times for us shooters :D

Thank you to all those who shared afternoon tea with us on the veranda at St Georges each night; always great to end a day of shooting with a relaxing cup of tea whilst dissecting a day of shooting and preparing for the next day.

Shout out to all those that helped Ian D and wish him a speedy recovery 🙏

Looking forward to 2027!!

Absolute pleasure and privilege to be present for the NRA of the UK Adaptive Championship for 2026!
Always such a fantastic event with a great turn out of veterans, with people visiting from all across the country. Such a joy to see some of our club members winning medals, so a special well done to Sarah and Pete B, along with Wendy who flew the flag for RTSC and did us proud.
Date for 2027 to be confirmed, but keep 15th and 17th June free!
We look forward to seeing you there :D

Blast from the Past!
This write up's from 1926!

06/06/2026

D-Day (June 6, 1944) was the Allied invasion of Normandy, France, during World War II. Officially codenamed Operation Overlord, it remains the largest seaborne invasion in history.

We remain indebted to those brave individuals who fought for the freedom we cherish today ❤
