Tyler Cassells Eventing BE Accredited Development Coach and Event Rider based at Smallwood in Cheshire Professional event rider based at Arclid Hall Equestrian Centre, Cheshire.

With over 15 years of experience, BE Accredited trainer Tyler Cassells brings both passion and expertise in helping you achieve! Tyler studied for A levels & BHSAI qualifications at Queen Ethelburga’s College, so he could bring on his young horse. He was awarded the prestigious Karen Dixon Scholarship, as well as a scholarship through Haddon Training for levels 2 & 3 National Vocational Qualifications in Horse Management. He then graduated with a BA(Hons) degree in Equine Science and Management from Warwickshire College. Tyler worked with international showjumper Tim Stockdale for a year as a Groom/Rider before he met 4* event rider and BE accredited trainer John Marsden & groomed for him at Weston Park International Horse Trails 2007. He joined the team a year later. Tyler was selected for the BEF Excell Talent Programme and the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS) 2011/2012.

2014 saw Tyler complete his first CIC*** at Blenheim Palace with Grandslam and in October Grandslam & Tyler also made it through to the final 3 for Mark Todd's Bridging the Gap Scholarship. Tyler has moved several of his horses up to the next level of eventing! Tyler & Grandslam went to the Netherlands and competed for Team GB in the BRC CIC** Europeans to come 4th individually and win TEAM SILVER! Tyler has also made the transition to advanced and 3* successfully with Badminton and Burghley firmly within his sight. Limited opportunities are available to become an owner or part of a syndicate. A great weekend at the lovely Plant A Fence Events; Chillington Hall Horse Trials 🌟🐎

🏆 5-year-old Douglas finished on his brilliant 27 dressage score to take the win on Saturday for his owners Dr Chadwick and Ellen Little.

🥈 Corinne Savills Ludo was hot on his heels, also finishing on his dressage score of 28 to take 2nd place.

🏆 Sue Blythe’s Sammy continues to settle and improve with every outing, taking a fantastic win on Sunday!

⭐ Corinne Savill’s 5-year-old Paddington also put in a confident performance to complete his section nicely.

A brilliant weekend for the horses and team. Huge thank you to everyone at Chillington for another fantastic event, and to title sponsors Ethos for their support. 🙌

We’re kicking off again this Wednesday at Smallwood Equestrian Centre 🙌

Individual 30-minute coaching sessions with Tyler, running from the afternoon into the evening – with excellent floodlights, so the darker nights won’t stop us!

Choose flatwork, jumping, or a mix of both, with each session tailored to you and your training plan.

Had our own little Burghley, at the wonderful Smallwood Equestrian Centre ✨

Thanks to Macclesfield and District Riding Club , the team enjoyed some great runs.

A couple of double clears for the youngsters and fantastic 19 dressage and double clear for owner Sue and a Win for owner Julie’s mare ✨

Rosie and 5 yr old Douglas's Debut was a top ten too ✨️
