Sever joint pain, stiffness, persistent crippling exhaustion and recurring fever. Just a few of the daily challenges of living with autoimmune disease. These are some of my personal challenges - there are many more symptoms associated with autoimmune disorders.
Yoga offers diverse practices all of which have the potential to manage physical and mental challenges.
Why, different practices? Because It's personal, not all practices are suitable for everyone. Mantra might work for one person, pranayama or meditation may be better for another - it depends. Different practices contain the seed of potential to support different constitutions and imbalances.
For me Yoga Nidra is the key to maintaining an active productive life. For me Yoga Nidra really is restoration at a cellular level. This is why I currently dedicate one Friday a month to sharing this practice.
My advise - don't dismiss Yoga Nidra as "that sleeping thing" try it, stay present, stay aware - you may be surprised.

Looking forward to sharing the powerful time-tested practice of Yoga Nidra this Friday.
Yoga Nidra allows space to be still, to be quite in an increasingly hectic world.
It creates the possibility for the mind to be at ease to be at peace with the body.

Not just a “hamstring stretch”🍃
Janu Śīrṣa Āsana – Head to knee pose creates:-
Humility—bowing toward yourself, surrendering effort.
Union of intellect and action—the head representing thought and awareness meets the leg representing movement and grounding. Body and mind becoming still, quite and at ease.
Inner reflection— introspection and turning the senses inward – awareness through pratyahara
Balance – regulating the flow of prana along the spine and the back of the leg.
Yoga is much more than just “stretching” more than just “exercise” 💛💛

Qi Gong may look gentle, but don't let that fool you. Simple movements can be surprisingly powerful, challenging both body and mind in the best possible way. And the rewards? Greater calm, renewed energy, improved balance, and a wonderful sense of wellbeing.
Come and experience it for yourself and discover why our Summer Pop-Up Qi Gong classes are becoming so popular.🌿

If you keep telling yourself you’re not strong enough, you’ll start to believe it.
Strength isn’t about perfection — it’s about accepting limitations, breathing through the challenge, and trusting yourself.
Strength grows every time you choose to keep going, even when it’s hard - You can do it🌱

I am so excited to be sharing these pop-up Qi Gong classes in Salisbury over the summer.
Qi Gong has many parallels to yoga, addressing the same issues, using a different, very accessible approach. Qi Gong also compliments and deepens an existing yoga practice.
