You may have noticed things look a little different around here all of a sudden.

Don’t worry, nothing’s *really* changed. We’re still the exact same club we were yesterday. We’re still members of the World K*k Sool Association, and we still teach K*k Sool Won.

Now, we just have a fresh new logo, and a name that will hopefully allow us to reach a wider audience and increase our engagement with the community we serve.

We look forward to seeing all of our K*k Sool family at the upcoming UK tournament!

Huge well done to everyone who tested on Friday!

We had a fantastic weekend at the WKSA European Tournament in Norwich. It was great to see so many people competing and taking part in national Black Belt testing. A huge well done to everyone involved.

This weekend we took a team of 8 competitors up to the WKSA Scottish Tournament. Everyone was successful, coming away with several medals each! 🥇🥇

More importantly, everyone had a great time and gave it their all.

We had a fantastic time at our Masters Seminar on Thursday, covering self defence, Ssang Jool b**g, sword sparring, and grappling.

A huge thank you to Chong Jae Nim, SSKJN John, and JDKJN Nick for giving us their time and knowledge.

And special thanks to PKJN Karl for coming along and teaching, and for his guidance and unwavering support.

I was reminded today of why we do what we do.

This morning, I ran a 5k with some of the gang from . This was the third run in the K*k Sool Trail Series, a collection of runs throughout the year with all proceeds going to Halton Cancer Support Group.

It was fantastic to see so many people make the journey out of town to be a part of something bigger. No competing for the best time, no medals, just a group of people all out there getting involved for a great cause.

For me, that’s what K*k Sool should be. Yes, we train to be good martial artists, but more importantly, we build a strong community filled with good people.

Some of the best memories I’ve made in the last two years have been from getting to do what I love, with people that have become my closest friends.

From belting out the tunes on a four hour road trip to tournament, to picking each other up off the mats after a tough testing session, we support each other, every step of the way.

If you’re looking for somewhere to train hard, have a laugh, and be surrounded by great people, come visit us. Everyone is welcome.

This is what it’s all about.

Working hard, being part of a community where people push each other to keep getting better, and having the best time doing it.
