Welcoming our new pony Gorse!

Today we picked up this lovely boy and welcomed him to his new home.
He is a 4yr old, 13.2hh unbacked Dartmoor pony!

Because of his age we will be very gradual with his training and ensuring he’s got the basics before introducing him to the riding school.

He’s enjoying 2 weeks settling in out in the field but after that I’m sure he will be very glad to meet everyone.

We had a great first day of our homeschool sessions!

Today we looked at risk assessments and hazards we may find working on a yard, some great group discussions were had and mind maps created.

Looking forward to next week where the children will have a go at creating their own risk assessments for real life scenarios.

If your child is interested in joining our homeschool group, it runs on Wednesday mornings 9:30-12:30 including a ride, practical element and classroom based applied learning.

- equine first aid
- yard & field management

- nutrition

We would love to see you for the start of our term this Wednesday. We will be following a plan for the next six weeks that will cover all aspects of Yard safety and management as well as Horse care and first aid.
Will be doing hands-on training as well as employability skills to help those that are looking to do Equine in the future. This is available as a half day or a full day. Please get in touch for more information.

What a fabulous open afternoon! It was so lovely to see our regulars enjoying themselves but also so many new faces!

We like to think we help to prepare our riders to experience what its like to own your own horse or pony. we specialise in building confidence on our own ponies but we also have lovely local client base who bring their own horses to train.
