Kadir’s back ☄️ returns to the Division 1 squad for the 26/27 season. Kadir returns home from the USA where he spent last season at top ranked JUCO Ellsworth CC on scholarship, after being sidelined by injury we look forward to returning Kadir back to full health. A former junior and academy standout with Carmel Basketball Kadir is no stranger to this level having debuted for the senior team aged 16 back in 22/23 season, we are excited to welcome back Kadir who will be a dynamic young scoring threat and add depth to our group 🔴⚪️

Right, Saints community training is back! See flyers. First off at our Ormskirk site at Edge Hill University with an open day this Saturday, followed by training the next week. Our new community sessions will take place at Broadway, for girls and boys, but commencing in November once the site is set-up. Congratulations to Luca Shellard getting his first call up and start for Basketball Wales senior men at age 16 🤯 the game against Sean Kilmartin caps a productive summer after the youngster! 🔴⚪️

Girls night ⛹🏻‍♀️ with so much going on in the background we are excited to getting back to our Community Basketball sessions 🏀 Firstly, we are thrilled to now have a permanent place to start our girl’s program at our St Helens site, which will be led by coach Mike Lea! There are a few weeks to go whilst we get everything set-up and ready to go but we hope to see everyone involved and excited to make it a success 🔴⚪️

Led by coach Mike, we are delighted to announce a brand new focus for the club with our girl's pathway in a dedicated girl's only community training night. We are excited to start from the ground up, enabled by our new basketball centre. There are a few weeks to go to get things set-up but please spread the word - we want this to be big!

Cilos 🔙 for Saints! Momcilo Latinovic returns season 3️⃣ the 6’6 Serbian shooting guard joins the squad after previously representing the club from 2021-2023 and will undoubtedly add valuable scoring and depth straight away, with a tremendous amount of pro experience overseas and domestically with London Lions Basketball & Cheshire Phoenix Basketball we are happy to welcome Cilo back to the club 🔴⚪️

U16’s ➡️ D1 ✔️ 16 year old 6’7 wing Luca Shellard steps up to senior men squad for the 26/27 season. Luca will enter his third season at the club and is no stranger to playing up an age group, playing u18s at aged 14 whilst dominating his own age, Luca will combine his role with Carmel Basketball academy side as he looks to build on an impressive start to his junior career. A versatile athletic wing who competes on both ends of the floor, we look forward to the next stage of his development and will be one to watch for college coaches and scouts in the near future 🔴⚪️

Big man’s back 💪🏻 6ft9 centre Ben Tew returns to the NBL Division One squad for the 26/27 season, entering season number 3️⃣ with Saints, Ben joins us after a stint with our friends at British Championship Basketball side Yorkshire Dragons in the second half of last season and we are happy to have him back with us as we enter this new chapter! 🔴⚪️

Joe returns for 2026/2027 season 💫 young pointguard josephcc__ enters season 3 with the senior men’s after receiving his first call up at 17, the former Carmel Basketball star quickly solidified his place in the squad emerging as one of the leagues brightest talents, with multiple big performances under his belt we are excited to continue to watch him develop 🚀 🔴⚪️
