☀ Greenwood Park LTC Summer Charity Event & Party (08.08.26) ☀

Thank you to everyone who attended our Summer Party. We enjoyed fabulous tennis, delicious drinks and food on the patio, and fantastic live music ranging from exceptional piano to a talented band!

Owing to this event, we raised £575 for the Petals charity! Thank you so much to all who donated for your generosity.

Thank you also to our brilliant social event organisers for such an enjoyable afternoon and evening amidst a successful summer calendar. Your efforts are really appreciated by the tennis club and attendees.

♻♻ GREENWOOD PARK LTC: PLEDGEBALL LEAGUE WINNERS JULY 2026 ♻♻

Thank you to all of our members who made a pledge for sustainability with the LTA during June and July. As a result, our club has won the Pledgeball League for the month of July. Pledges by our members both seek to minimise our environmental footprint as a tennis club and help us to receive awards from the LTA to further sustainability projects in the future.

What is the LTA Pledgeball League?
The LTA Pledgeball League rewards tennis clubs for the number of pledges made by their members, ranking clubs across the country based on 'Impact' in terms of kgCO2e per year. Multiple pledges can be made by each club member and vary from walking/cycling to prioritising reusable water bottles over single-use plastics. The tennis club that wins in any given month receives an award from the LTA that contributes to development of sustainability efforts.

What can I do?

Many of the actions are only small, but work towards an important goal for our club and beyond.

Another thrilling day at Wimbledon has come to a close, with British wildcard Arthur Fery continuing to soar through the later stages. Amongst this summer of tennis, Greenwood Park LTC has been busy with club tournaments in full swing, league teams competing across Hertfordshire, and social tennis sessions / events.

Whether you have been inspired to pick up a racket again or you are a first-time tennis player, why not come along to one of our social sessions?
