It was so lovely to see so many smiling faces arriving, getting signed in and ready for another exciting rehearsal. Seeing everyone come together and watching the show really start to take shape is such a special feeling. 💙

We hope everyone found yesterday’s rehearsal beneficial and enjoyed another chance to perfect those routines, practise the staging and build confidence ahead of show week. Every rehearsal brings us one step closer to creating something truly magical.

A huge thank you to Miss Tanya, Jenny & Deborah, who spent the entire weekend working tirelessly behind the scenes, making last-minute costume alterations, sewing, adjusting and perfecting every little detail to make sure every dancer feels amazing on stage. 🪡✨

The amount of love, care and time that goes into over 1,000 costumes is incredible, and we are so grateful for everything they’ve done to help bring our show to life.

We also hope everyone enjoyed tonight’s rehearsals! The show is really starting to come together, and it’s so exciting seeing all of your hard work paying off. 🤩

From organising hundreds of costumes and rails to adding all those little finishing touches, there’s so much that happens before you even walk through the doors. We love creating an exciting experience for every dancer, and seeing their faces light up when they see their costumes makes all the hard work worthwhile! ✨

Today was spent at the LDA lock-up with Miss Molly and Miss Becky, finalising all those important last-minute show jobs — labelling, hanging, sorting and organising costumes ready for the weekend! 💙

With over 1,000 costumes in this year’s show, there is so much work that goes on behind the scenes to make sure every dancer has what they need and that everything is ready to shine on stage. It’s a huge team effort, and we can’t wait to see all of the costumes come to life under the theatre lights! 💫

We’re so looking forward to seeing everybody at Costume Weekend tomorrow.

Applications are now OPEN for our 2026/27 Future Dance Teachers Programme! ✨

Following an incredible first year, we're so proud of our first 25 students who successfully completed Level 1, growing in confidence, leadership and valuable life skills along the way.

Although it's called the Future Dance Teachers Programme, it's so much more than learning to teach dance. This accredited leadership programme helps students develop confidence, communication, teamwork, responsibility and professionalism - skills that will benefit them in whatever career they choose.

Whether they dream of becoming a dance teacher, performer, doctor, lawyer, business owner or anything in between, this programme provides real opportunities to develop in a supportive, hands on environment while becoming positive role models within our LDA family.

🩵 Level 1 – Intro to Assisting
🩵 Level 2 – Developing Assisting Skills
🩵 Level 3 – Teaching & Leadership Development

📅 Programme starts in September 2026
📍 Open to current LDA students

Rosalia is one of our beautiful ballet and contemporary fusion numbers in the show, and we can’t wait for you to see it on stage! 💫
