Bank Holiday Move It Monday!
Today was all about pace work and hill climbs — elevating the heart rate, building strength, and engaging the whole body for a fantastic full-body workout!
Brilliant work from all our walkers! 😁👏

Another lovely Striders Walx at Colney Heath today!
We came across a gate to absolutely nowhere… keeping nothing in and nothing out! 😂
Then we met this very cute goat who seemed rather pleased to have an audience and was definitely showing off for us!
One of the most interesting sights was the lake — such a contrast between one side, which looked almost desert-dry, and the other, where the water was beautifully clear.
Another great walk with great company!

Saturday Stroller WALX at Sherrardspark Wood!
We timed it perfectly — getting our walk in just before the rain arrived! 🌦️
Beautiful woodland avenues, winding paths, meadow views and a few hills gave us plenty of fresh air, scenery and cardio, plus some double-poling practice on the slopes.
Great company + rain-refreshed air + getting active = the perfect start to the Bank Holiday weekend!

Watchers of the Sky!
A small group of early-morning walkers gathered on Nomansland Common at 4.30am to witness the partial lunar eclipse.
Apart from a distant owl and the occasional rabbit for company, the common was beautifully still as we watched the Blood Moon emerge.
A Blood Moon lunar eclipse is often seen as a powerful time for reflection and releasing old energy. To mark this rare celestial moment, we paused for a simple cleansing ritual before beginning the walk back across the common — where a well-earned coffee awaited us at the car boot café. ☕🌙
A magical way to start the day.

The other side to our Workout Wednesday — after a technique-based session, it’s all about enjoying the lovely surroundings of Highfield Park. A great way to get some fresh air and appreciate the scenery.

This evening's Pick up the Pace walk at Batchwood.
Perfect weather for an early evening walk, enhanced with countryside views. Is autumn coming with hedgerow fruits in evidence?

Move It Monday. Starting the week with our core ledge workout routine.
Using Total Body WALX poles can increase core and abdominal engagement. Using the correct technique, the poles encourage active posture and coordinated movement, helping to strengthen and condition the abdominal muscles.

Walk this Sunday morning. Back in May we walked this route to raise funds for mental health awareness week and the Striders decided to repeat it once again. A lovely mix of open countryside and woodland and we even found our green ribbon to help navigate the route!
Thank you Striders for a lovely start to the day.😊

The Saturday Strollers at Highfield this morning walking a circuit which took us through the park, along open fields and farmland. A walk ‘n’ talk in lovely company with cooler temperatures making for great walking weather, even though the ground is hard going at the moment. Good supportive footwear is key.🥾🥾
