When “What’s for dinner?” is enough to tip you over the edge.
It's not really about dinner.
It's that you genuinely don't think you can cope with one more person asking you for one more thing.
One more question.
One more decision.
One more “Mum, have you…?”
One more thing that's somehow yours to sort out.
Because by 5pm, you're done.
And this is the bit about perimenopause exhaustion we don't talk about enough.
It isn't just feeling tired.
It's having so little left at the end of the day that you start saying no to the things you actually want to do.
The walk. Dinner with friends. Going out with your partner.
And slowly, exhaustion starts affecting how much of your life you actually get to enjoy.

Beyond symptom management.
Helping women rediscover their energy, strength & joy so they can feel part of their life again -
not just watch it from the sidelines. 💛
The irony of talking about getting your energy back while completely exhausting myself before 7am isn't lost on me 😂
But today was such a good reminder that we don't always notice just how much we're asking of ourselves.
The early mornings.
The broken sleep.
The running around after everyone else.
The mental load.
The never-ending list of things that “just need doing.”
We just get on with it.
And in perimenopause, when your body is already dealing with crazy hormones and all the changes that come with them, that load can start to feel very different.
Which is why getting your energy back isn't necessarily about trying harder or adding another thing to your list.
Sometimes the first step is understanding why you're so exhausted in the first place.
And that's exactly what I'm going to be talking about in my new free masterclass:
Get Your Energy Back
Why You're Exhausted in Perimenopause (Even When You're Doing Everything Right)

So… what are you doing when you’re wide awake at 3am?
▫️Trying desperately to get back to sleep
▫️Reaching for your phone
▫️Mentally reorganising your entire life
▫️Getting up for a wee
▫️Lying there getting increasingly annoyed
Or maybe you have your own 3am routine?
Tell me below ⬇️
Magnesium for sleep.
B vitamins for energy.
Something for the hot flushes.
Something else for the anxiety.
Before you know it, you've got a cupboard full of supplements...
and you're still exhausted.
I'm not saying supplements don't have a place. They do.
But here's where I think we're getting it wrong.
We keep trying to fix each symptom as though it's a separate problem.
Can't sleep? Take this.
No energy? Try that.
Feeling anxious? Add something else.
But the problem is that we're trying to fix them one by one.
You can't solve a whole-body problem one symptom at a time.
So instead of asking "What else can I take?"
Ask "What's actually going on underneath all these symptoms?"

Who knew an Oxford graduation entirely in Latin would get me thinking about perimenopause? 😂
I am menopause obsessed but actually the comparison feels pretty spot on.
When a body you've known for 40+ years suddenly stops making sense, of course you start looking for answers.
The question is whether we're looking in the right place.
More on that very soon... 💛
Keeping it real for all you perimenopausal women😂
After 40 years, it's safe to say you've spent a lot of quality time with your own body.
You know how it responds.
You know what happens when you don't get enough sleep.
You know what works if you want to lose a few pounds.
You know which exercise makes you feel good.
So it's no wonder perimenopause feels so bloody confusing when suddenly... none of those things seem to work anymore.
Perimenopause totally changes the rules!
And instead of desperately clinging on to the old rulebook it's time to learn the new one.

Where do I even start?!?
That's how I felt when I opened the box of 20 photo frames.
But once I stopped thinking about all of them and focused on just the first one, everything changed.
The first few took ages, but after that, the rest seemed to fall into place.
It made me realise how many women approach perimenopause.
We look at the long list of symptoms and think we have to tackle everything at once.
▫️Sleep.
▫️Energy.
▫️Stress.
▫️Weight gain.
▫️Brain fog.
It's exhausting before you've even started.
The truth is, you don't have to fix everything overnight.
You just need to know where to begin.
That's exactly why I created my FREE guide.
It's full of simple ideas to help you take that first step, without feeling like you have to overhaul your entire life.

One of the things I notice most in women going through perimenopause isn't just the exhaustion...
It's the constant negotiation.
Every invitation.
Every plan.
Every late night.
"Will I cope?"
"Will I be exhausted tomorrow?"
"Is it worth it?"
And little by little, your world gets smaller.
That's why one of my favourite things a client has ever said to me was -
"I feel much more resilient."
Because resilience isn't just about having more energy.
It's about getting your freedom back.
It's saying yes without constantly calculating what it will cost you tomorrow.
