One of the things I notice most in women going through perimenopause isn't just the exhaustion...
It's the constant negotiation.
Every invitation.
Every plan.
Every late night.
"Will I cope?"
"Will I be exhausted tomorrow?"
"Is it worth it?"
And little by little, your world gets smaller.
That's why one of my favourite things a client has ever said to me was -
"I feel much more resilient."
Because resilience isn't just about having more energy.
It's about getting your freedom back.
It's saying yes without constantly calculating what it will cost you tomorrow.

Hi, I'm Joanna!
If you're new here, I wanted to properly introduce myself.
A few years ago, I was exactly where so many women find themselves today.
Doing all the "right" things.
Trying to fix one symptom after another.
Wondering why nothing seemed to make a lasting difference.
What I didn't realise was that I wasn't doing anything wrong...
I was simply trying to solve the wrong problem.
Once I understood what was really happening in my body, everything changed.
Not overnight, but little by little.
That's the approach I now share with every woman I work with.
Because I truly believe perimenopause can be an incredible chapter where you become stronger, calmer and more connected to yourself than you've been in years.
Now... before you think I'm all sensible and serious...
my clients will probably tell you I'm "mad as a box of frogs." (actually they have!)😂
I'm usually the one getting everyone laughing, doing something slightly ridiculous, and proving that no topic is off limits.
Whether we're talking about pelvic floors, brain fog or leaking when you sneeze... nothing is off the table here!
When I'm not talking about menopause, you'll probably find me teaching Pilates, walking my two giant dogs, or spending time with my family.

Looking back now, I can see just how much time I wasted trying to fight my symptoms instead of understanding what my body actually needed.
If I could go back to the start of my perimenopause journey, these are the five things I'd want someone to tell me.
Because this chapter isn't about surviving until it's over.
It's about learning how to support your body, build resilience and rediscover the woman who's still very much there.

Today was supposed to start with me sipping champagne in the business class lounge.
After all, I'm flying solo for the first time in years.
No kids.
No dogs.
No husband.
Just me and two whole weeks of freedom.
So yesterday I decided to treat myself and upgrade to business class.
Except...
When I got to the airport this morning, I discovered the booking hadn't actually gone through.
Whether that's technology, brain fog, or a powerful combination of both, the jury is still out.
So instead of champagne in the lounge, I found myself ordering a Starbucks coffee.
The barista asked my name.
"Joanna," I said.
A few minutes later they handed me this.
Jellana.
Honestly?
Between the failed upgrade and my new identity, I think this cup perfectly sums up my day.
But do you know what?
I'm still getting on the plane.
I'm still having my adventure.
