A huge thank you to our Redbourn community for making us feel so welcome last weekend at

We loved seeing patients and families of all ages enjoying the sunshine and community spirit.
We appreciate those of you that took the time to share your feedback on the surgery and the service we provide to our local community and of course our smaller patients who got involved with learning more about fruit and healthy eating.

Our lovely Dr Power and one of our community nurses were on hand to offer health advice and check your blood pressure alongside our practice manager Stacey.

⚠️ Measles Cases Rising in Hertfordshire ⚠️

Measles is a highly infectious illness that can make children very unwell and can sometimes lead to serious complications. Cases are increasing across Hertfordshire, with most infections occurring in unvaccinated children aged 10 years and under.

βœ… Please check your child’s vaccination record in their Red Book or the NHS App.

πŸ’‰ If your child has missed one or both doses of the MMR vaccine, please submit an eConsult to arrange a vaccination appointment.

The MMR vaccine is free on the NHS, safe, and highly effective at protecting against measles, mumps and rubella. An alternative vaccine is available for those who wish to avoid pork products.

If you are concerned your child may have measles, please check the symptoms on the NHS website and submit an eConsult or contact NHS 111 for advice before attending the surgery.

Help protect your child and our community β€” if your child’s MMR is outstanding, please submit an eConsult today.

According to the BUPA Wellbeing Index "50% of men have struggled with mental health difficulties at some point, yet fewer than half have sought medical advice".

This is why, this Men's Health Week, we are encouraging everyone to raise awareness of mental health, address the stigma that surrounds it, and support our colleagues, friends and family before they reach crisis point.

If you would like to make an appointment to discuss your concerns or symptoms, please complete an eConsult https://lodgesurgery.webgp.com/

πŸ’™ Carers Week 2026 πŸ’™

This year’s Carers Week theme is Building Carer Friendly Communities and at The Lodge Health Partnership we want our carers to know that we are here to support you.

If you regularly help or support a family member, friend, or neighbour who could not manage without your help, you may be a carer, even if you don’t think of yourself as one.

In this short video, our previous Carers Champion, Serena, explains:
βœ”οΈ What it means to be a carer
βœ”οΈ How to recognise if you are one
βœ”οΈ How we can support registered carers at the practice

Although Bronwyn has now taken over the role of Carers Champion, our commitment to supporting carers in our community continues.

If you think you may be a carer, please speak to our team and let us know so we can help support you better. πŸ’™
