Hi All. We hope you had a fantastic day of racing despite the grey skies. We are steadily dumping all of the photos taken from the various cameras onto here. A bit of sunshine would have lifted the colours but there are still a few crackers in there if you look carefully.

Triathlon is a funny old sport. To be the best you have to work relentlessly on three very different disciplines. But for the vast majority it is just about doing YOUR best. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing. Focus on the things YOU can control. Make the best of your swimming skills. Keep pushing on those pedals. Get that last kick of adrenaline to run for the finish.

When I look at this photo of the Ruthin Tristars athletes I see a lot of smiles. I see a lot children who won a battle. Who are feeling the sense of achievement that comes from just making it to the finish line. And that feeling can be addictive! I also see friendships and camaraderie between children who see each other every Friday. Thank you all for supporting our event today. We will reward you on Friday...with a beep test 😉.

A big shout out to Finley for his 2nd place in the T3 and Idris for 3rd in the T1 categories. Your success will inspire others to raise their game and find their limits.

Race weekend: Ruthin Triathlon

Good luck to all TCC athletes racing at Ruthin Triathlon this weekend.

Ruthin is always a brilliant early-season event and a great chance to put the winter work into practice across the swim, bike and run.

For some, this will be about chasing a time.For others, it will be about gaining experience, building confidence, or simply getting on the start line and getting it done.

Whatever your goal is, race smart, stay calm, and back the work you’ve done.
